(how much traffic it is already recieving, how profitable is the niche etc) This will help you evaluate how much it is worth. Do NON-COMPETE clauses hold up in court?
I'm not a lawyer, but I think you would still be considered a COMPETITOR. Notice the non compete agreement, and "..Competeing includes.." (and probably not limited to) part. So I guess it depends on what field it is, and how profitable it is for you to "compete" and take the risk and headach...- Davidla

Need Any SEO Advice? I'm here to help you
HOT! MARKETINGA few questions about different SEs: 1) Are there any special differences in SEO targeted to Google,Yahoo and Bing? 2) If a website got google slapped or sandboxed (not deindexed), are there reasons to assume a loss of ranking in Yahoo & Bing aswell? Lets assume the website isn't doing...- Davidla

Website purchased on Filppa, Goolge Panda update DE-INDEXED it!
WEB/DIGITALI dont think there is much the new owner could have done in such a short period AFTER buying the website. The website got deindexed, not just a decline in ranking. The website was probably doing something google really didn't like, so the PANDA just swalloed him whole..- Davidla

Need Any SEO Advice? I'm here to help you
HOT! MARKETINGThanks for the response Semsniper. Overall I reached the same conclusions you did, but the main X factor here for me is why do new websites get sandboxed? from what I've learned so far, it usually happens when some grey/black hat SEO is used (link farms, autoblogs etc). What other known reasons...- Davidla

Testing the market
To check if people will actually buy your product, have them go through a regular checkout, and after they confirm the details and click the final "purchase" button, just redirect them to a page that says something like: "We are sorry, we are out of stock at the moment. You have not been...- Davidla

2012 Beer & Pancakes
HOT!I'm coming this year aswell. Thanks Kenric. Sounds like a winner to me. The no catering commitment should be a big thing, as we can probably buy the 1000$/d worth of catering for 300-400$/d, aswell as not having to worry about room nights. Is the quality of their room similiar to the...- Davidla

How to Buy A Ferrari for $20K
NOTABLE!Nice thread. Allmost missed it because of the "creative" title - thanks MikeC :smxB: I am currently negotiating to buy a 7k/y "passive" earning website for 1X aswell. Atlas Shrugged Part One
OFF-TOPICI loved the book - but thought the movie was not good. I agree with you Bobby about the actors & depth. Taking those two out, what is left to keep the audiance tuned for parts 2 and 3? Not much in my opinion..which is a shame. I'm interested to know what someone who hadn't read the book...- Davidla

If the American Dream is dead...
OFF-TOPICI agree with the people who say that the U.S is still one of the best places to come and "live the dream". On the other hand, I think that the "american dream" is slowly dying down. As the economy became global, I think it is inevitable for resources change hands and equalize (I.E outsourcing)...- Davidla

Would you buy a website or just start your own?
WEB/DIGITALDepends on your goal. Depends on what you want to achieve. What is your goal? Example: If your goal is to start a website about buying and selling land, and monetize it, then buying it can be a good option to get a faster start. If you buy "into" an existant website that is not...- Davidla

HOT! MINDSETI agree with you guys. The interviewer really pissed me off aswell.
