    Hi From Michigan

My fault, not yours. Angie's list started out going door to door, besides even 3rd or 4th in search results will draw in traffic. As far as charging, I've heard that people don't want to pay unless they see immediate benefits. You might consider offering free listings and then charge for...

    Hi From Michigan

If the entry barrier is low and the competition is high, then "carving a niche" is a good idea. You could write an Ebook about "how to tend a golf course or (soccer field, football field). Go even deeper and write on care of specific kinds of grasses and bushes. A lot of guys don't realize...

    Super mellow, or just stoopid?

    FUNNY
It was good that he stayed calm, but he shows a definite lack of respect for what a tornado can do. A piece of debris could have easily pushed through his windshield and killed him.

Seeking to combat B.S. and PCness. Anyone feeling me?

I agree with you completely Russ, especially in terms of business. My point is that society in general often skirts truths or renames various entities. They do this in order to avoid offending groups with conflicting viewpoints. Diplomacy, tact, and mutual respect are all admirable traits...

Seeking to combat B.S. and PCness. Anyone feeling me?

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. I probably did come down a little heavy handed. I guess I should have just said, " Say what you want, but be respectful of the other members." If you think of cussing like drinking alcohol, a few might be fine and may even help in social situations, but...

Can Things Really Be Done Differently?

    WEB/DIGITAL
I've thought of doing something similar to this with a website. Your idea goes much farther. Maybe you could set up a company that pools resources and matches up interest with assets. You set up the fastlane model for yourself by offering a platform and brokering the deals. BTW, Welcome!

    Site is launched!

    MARKETPLACE
I think aptohosting might have been pointing out that you need to use the word "Sale" instead of "Sell". The site is looking better. My opinion is that you are jumping in a little too fast and letting enthusiasm overtake due diligence (grammar, market research, legalities, etc.), but at...

Seeking to combat B.S. and PCness. Anyone feeling me?

Hi ethicalmaretin. You're right in that truth is negated by PC and expectations placed on us by others. Too often people allow themselves to be nullified because they are concerned about offending people. The use of the Socratic method is sorely lacking and it shows in our society. Now...
