    Books that Changed Your Life

So weird I would come across this... I have been working long hours at my desk and my shoulder/back pain is INSANE, causing headaches etc, to the point where it is mentally debilitating. Has helped losing weight and doing strength exercises, but I definitely love these kind of books because I...

What are your thoughts on "Privilege"?

    HOT! MINDSET
I can't recall who posted earlier, but it was something a long the lines of "what are you doing to show you deserve this privelege. This really connected with me. Although I believe in the power of choice, I also believe the saying "there, but for the grace of God, goes me." Which just means...

Yes I think this is VERY important and something a lot of people forget. You need the contrast of bad times (so to speak) for good, and it's what gives you drive. In high school I used to be resentful that my parents didn't buy me a nice car like many of my friends had, or pay for university...

Love this! I agree that in some ways, being "privileged" can almost be a disadvantage, you work less and you have less contrast for when times are good.

My girlfriends coworkers were watching this video the other day, talking about how GREAT of a demonstration it is that some people are just "better off" than others. I'm curious how some of you view the idea of "privilege"

Am I misunderstanding MJ's "pay yourself first" statement?

Interesting.. never heard the concept that growth reinvestment can cause a crash will have to look into this concept. Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk

Am I misunderstanding MJ's "pay yourself first" statement?

Ah okay this actually makes sense - so basically the idea is I can reinvest profits back into growing my busines asset rather than paying the government. So it's not literally pay yourself. I invest probably 50% of profits back into growth. This makes sense, it is difficult getting advice...

Am I misunderstanding MJ's "pay yourself first" statement?

Hey All, I know the rates are different, depending on region - however I am having trouble understanding, which system is favoured in FastLane entrepreneurship, Payroll or Dividends? With payroll, I am only being taxed once. However, on dividends I am being taxed on corporate profits and...

How to draw dividends before year end?

Ahh... okay I think this is what I needed to hear. I always assumed an accountant was like, someone who constantly reviewed your books on a monthly basis, combed through accounts, etc.

How to draw dividends before year end?

Yea I hear you - here's the problem is, I would say we're doing "OKAY" for cash flow because we're grossing near $2400-$3000/month which is okay considering we're in month 3. BUT, my personal expenses at bare minimum are $1750/month. Now, after taxes - I end up profiting around $1700/month which...

How to draw dividends before year end?

Hey fastlane fam! So this is the newest interesting challenge I have come across, or didn't think about when I set up for corporation. For some odd reason, I thought you could pay yourself dividends whenever you wanted throughout the year. However, the case seems to be, you can only do this...

What was the most difficult thing you've had to learn or do for your business?

This is a difficult one. I had to cut off a business deal with my cousin and that was difficult enough, can't imagine firing one of my kids.

What was the most difficult thing you've had to learn or do for your business?

This one was tough. I remember my first round of "sales calls" I emailed 10 people, TEN. When none got back to me, I told my mentor "oh man.. maybe the product sucks", he laughed in my face and said I needed to make at least 500+ calls before I found people who gave a shit. I would say almost...

What was the most difficult thing you've had to learn or do for your business?

I'm curious to hear from some of you other entrepeneurs, what was the most difficult thing you had to do or skill you had to learn in your journey? For me, I would say getting over cold calling fear.

Do you think it's important to let entrepreneurs fail when it's avoidable?

Yea good point... lots of failures I made I kind of wish I didn't waste time/money on. Also, odd question- where do I learn more about you and your business? I'm always curious to learn about the forum members and you've clearly been around for a while!

Good advice everyone! And just an update, the friend who talked about the promo company is looking at doing video for realtors, etc. However, he also wants to branch off and start doing youtube videos... like skits and etc. So yea... crowded market lol.
