Are you most productive early or later in the day?

    MINDSET
Completely agree. I'm working on keeping music only for the night as a way to wind down and in the morning when I lift. When I work I usually listen to white noise or airplane noise if my working environment is distracting. Ideally I'd listen to nothing, but the sounds of other people are...

Are you most productive early or later in the day?

    MINDSET
I've found that taking a walk (10-20 min) right after eating can help prevent that energy crash that usually happens. Personally I'm just taking it one day at a time, trying to make each day slightly more productive than the last. I'm stacking habits like waking up early, cold showers, stop...

How can i/we stop chasing after new ideas?

    IDEA FTE
Quotes from UNSCRIPTED page 324 and 325: In response to "Marketmind Silence": MJ goes on to explain how to evaluate your Channel, Reach, and Message. Further... You may want to look into reading "The Dip" by Seth Godin. I thought a lot of the book was a lot of fluff and not that helpful...

    Local advertising magazine startup

Sounds like junk mail. How is this any different from the ads I throw away every week in my mail? As some others have already asked, what is in it for the readers? I have yet to meet someone who will voluntarily read advertisements with nothing in return. Even if you’re looking for something...

I’ve heard that Modafinil is pretty effective.

    E-Sports Supplements

    HOT!
I dabble in the nootropics scene every now and then. Most of the people who are really into supplements and nootropics prefer powdered form so they can manipulate dosages easily and weigh out exactly what they want to take. But if you are targeting general consumers, I'd say capsules. Also...

Songs you never get bored listening to...

    OFF-TOPIC
Kanye's The College Dropout album is masterful hip hop. It is so raw and connects with me pretty deeply. I think you'd guys like School Spirit Skit 1 and School Spirit Skit 2 (not songs obviously):

Is your business idea a monster that eats people to poop out money so you can be okay?

    IDEA MINDSET
He's basically repeating a message that is frequent on this forum: provide value genuinely. I think the distinction he makes between your intentions of helping others vs "feeding the monster" to help yourself is interesting. But ultimately he is just saying don't chase money—especially to fill...

Porking with Purpose (Dad Blog) PROGRESS THREAD

    EXECUTION
Is there a large amount of fathers who read dad-related blogs? Just from my intuition I’d say not. “Mommy blogs” are popular, but for fathers? I think most men have interest in specific things, not just being a father in general. Frankly, I’m just not sure if this is a big enough of a need...

    Finding Needs

I thought of a need while reading this: create a pet food brand that has been tested and has undergone trials; provide people accurate nutritional value information and how it'll affect the health of their pet.

I will build you a website in exchange for a testimonial!

Frankly, you should be able to tell whether your sites are good enough for paid work. Compare them to high quality websites already on the web. High quality websites achieve the client’s goals (whatever that may be: more sales, more conversions, exposure, etc.) in an aesthetically pleasing way...

    Advice For High School Student

    INTRO
Taking the PSAT varies by school. Some schools have all the students take it while at other high schools you will need to register for it yourself. Most of the time sophomores will take it as a "practice" and their real test will be junior year. The PSAT is out of 1520. This score is then...

    Important questions about online tools....

Definitely not illegal to do the same thing. It would probably be considered a search engine, research tool, or an online database. It is definitely technically ambitious, but I’m not sure to what extent. Someone else can probably shed more light.

    Advice For High School Student

    INTRO
I believe there is no downside to getting great grades and SAT/ACT scores in high school. Unlike college, where GPA means very little, having a high GPA and test scores in high school can not only put you in a great position to apply for elite colleges (should you want to) but also it puts you...

Question for developers: Can I do this?

If you have no coding/developing experience I would recommend hiring a developer. Otherwise you will be spending hours learning to implement one function for your website. You can find a developer on Fiverr or another freelancing site to implement the API for very cheap (think $20). Completely...

What's the best place to buy Gazprom stock online?

    INVESTING
Depends what you are looking for and how much capital you have to trade with. Commission fees will eat you alive if you trying to actively trade with less than $25k. Robinhood has no commission fees and Interactive Brokers has very low fees. If you're just getting started I recommend...
