Never got started and don't know why.

    INTRO
Whenever I think of something that I know I should do but I haven't done it yet I always think of the Jeff Bezos quote which he calls regret minimization framework. Basically fast forward to when you're 80 years old. Do you want to look back and regret not doing what you know you should be...

I'm listening to Terry Crews book. It's quite good and delves deep into his past and why he was the way he was. Things started changing for him when he changed his attitude and took pride in doing his job, even cleaning floors.

It's great that he's buying it but I can already see the negativity the media is trying to create. There was an article in an Irish paper saying how Elon buying Twitter is going to be "dangerous"

Why does it seem like every business failure leads to close bankruptcy?

    EXECUTION
Why do a lot of business failures lead to bankruptcy? Because you go all in or don't go at all. You back yourself to succeed even though there is a huge chance of failure.

Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
The US always appeals to me. Places like Florida or Texas. I had a business coach last year who lived in Florida and he loved it there and it also looks like it's governed well at the moment. If I was ever single again, I wouldn't mind Asia. Thailand and Vietnam are good places and cheap to...

What kills me every year in Ireland is that you get through winter and then March comes and the sun starts to creep out and you're thinking yes here we go, here's the good weather. Then 2 weeks later we somehow go back into winter and it's freezing again. It really brings my mood down and I...

How much of the self-development/success industry recommendations are COMPLETE BS?

    MINDSET
You create your own habits that suit you and your values. Just because Tony Robbins wakes up every morning and dives into an ice bath doesn't mean you have to aswell.

I'm reading Michael O'Leary, one of Ireland's best business men. He took a struggling airline over and turned it into one of Europe's most profitable airlines - Ryanair. This proves that you don't have to reinvent the wheel. He met with Herb Kelleher who owns Southwest Airlines and took what...

Is waking up early worth it?

    HOT! HEALTH
I think waking up early is pushed by the self development industry. You don't have to wake up early to be successful. We're all different and some people do their best work late at night, others early in the morning. As long as you don't wake up at a time where you feel guilty, I think you're fine.

Why are people so lazy nowadays? Is it a generation thing?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
I think it's down to parenting and the ease of life we have now. Parent's gladly leave their kids play games, laptops etc just to keep them quiet. Parents will also wipe their childs butts until they are well into their 20's. There's no struggle anymore in modern life. Everything you want is a...

After seeing this article about finding Shackleton's long lost ship - Endurance: Shackleton's lost ship is found in Antarctic It reminded of this book Endurance. I've been reading The 7 Habits of Higly Effective People. I've heard of this book a lot and thought it was going to be one of those business guru books but so far it has been a good read. He actually talks about going through the process and not looking for easy answers.
