Making 100k Per Year: Easy or Difficult?

    HOT!
I'm not far from this, and my wife and I combined make well over this. However, we live in DC and have massive student loans to repay, so it doesn't feel like very much. In fact, it was the size of my and my wife's student loan payments that pushed me into business, as I realized there was no...

    Shark Tank Questions

Yeah but what's critical is why they wernt profitable on those sales. Sometimes it's fixable-like if they had the right connections and could lower their manufacturing process costs, they could become profitable. Other times it's clear that the product just costs too much to make and market, and...

    Shark Tank Questions

Remember that investors (and founders, really) want to make their money back plus make a profit. Unless you can show how paying a founder a salary is going to accelerate their return on investment faster than reinvesting that money in the business, the investors won't be interested. The same...

    God is an awesome copywriter

    PUBLISHING
Well from a speechwriting perspective, sometimes I'd love to make the people I write for "preach it." I never get to write words like "everlasting", "covenant", "beseech", "wrath", "almighty" etc!

Cured of Eczema and Asthma: Shoot me your Questions, I REALLY CARE!

    HEALTH
My infant son was recent cured of horrible eczema (which he had his whole life) after a trip to the ER revealed severe food allergies. Wife eliminated all allergines from her diet and thus her milk, plus we started using prescription steroid creams as given to us by a pediatric allergist, and my...

Name my Poop Shield - win money (at least $100)!

    HOT!
Agreed @LibertyForMe - I had done that for myself but didn't post it here last night. Here are the results after filtering out all those who were not interested. As expected, the price question responses were more reflective of $9.99+. The overall name picture didn't change too drastically in...

Thanks everyone for your input. It means a lot to me that you all would take your time to respond to this thread and show an interest in what I'm trying to do. I wanted to share the final results of my survey. I've also attached some renderings of my latest patent-pending, spring-loaded...

I do plan on doing something like this. Not necessarily combining the existing names I have out there, but combining a name with a tagline that includes elements of other names.

The overwhelming consensus from the forum is that Oopsie Poopsie should have won. I don't think that name would conform to the criteria you suggest (which I personally agree with, BTW. I want to call it a Poop Shield, but no one else seems to think that's good idea. Almost everyone I've talked...

Yes, I wrote a paragraph description at the top of the survey, then wrote the questions so they referenced the paragraph ("having read the paragraph above, what do you think about...")

Survey is half way complete. Interesting results so far, especially that The H.O.O.D is not nearly as hated by the demo as it was here. Love the third image - haters gonna hate! :)

Surveymonkey paid responses right now. I figure that's the fastest, most affordable way to get guaranteed, targeted responses.

I have a multiquestion survey out in the target demographic. I asked them to rank order 8 name choices. I'll let you all know how it goes. Until then - I'm a dead horse! Stop beating me! :D

Appreciate your input MJ. I'm happy to change the name based on feedback. Frankly I don't care what it's called as long as it sells-if Oopsie Poopsie is what the people want, that's what I'll call it. (And if this forum is representative of the market, it looks like it will!)

My initial poll of female parents revealed that they achieve this "handle" by 1) quickly wiping the poop and hoping the infant doesn't get their hands down there before they are done, 2) placing the kid on the floor and stepping on the kid's hands, 3) kneeling on the kid's chest. My shield...

Also I think this gets to something that I learned - I've often been surprised at the difference between the opinions of friends/forum members and the general public. I had another thread about a landing page I was having trouble with. I got some great advice, but when I shifted the landing...

The other reason I'm going to test the top four is because I found that as the responses came in, I mentally had a bias associated with the poster. It was hard not to just accept MJ's suggestion as he's MJ. Thus, the need for independent (non-forum) testing.
