    Looking for website feedback

    WEB/DIGITAL
A couple of big questions that first came to mind - Do fire fighters buy their own gear? Or is it supplied to them by the fire station? I guess what I'm asking is, is there a demand for what you're selling? Are you going to rely on search engine traffic to find your site? I took a quick...

    Trouble With Identity!!

If you're looking for a writer, post a job on Craigslist > Jobs > Writing/Editing Jobs. In your job posting tell them that you're looking for someone that has experience with this medical condition or whatever it is, and can write about it. You might have to post in several different cities...

    SEO Wartime - GOOGLE Bomb?

    MARKETING
Update: Was searching for a keyword using google just now, and noticed that the search results for positions 6-9 are all keyword stuffed and QUADRUPLE 301 redirects. I honestly don't even know how they do a quadruple 301 redirect. Is that considered cloaking?? So let's say I was...

    Mac vs PC

    OFF-TOPIC
My experience has been just the opposite, price wise. OSX Snow Leopard = $29 Windows 7 = $119 iWork = $79 Microsoft Office = $199 And from my experience Mac software is far less buggy, although Windows 7 was a huge improvement over Vista. As far as hardware goes, yes, Macs are a lot more...

    SEO Wartime - GOOGLE Bomb?

    MARKETING
Good article. I posted a little something about this last week, but it's great to see that someone took the time to write a detailed article, highlighting a handful of examples (there's THOUSANDS more) of the spam that the penguin update caused to rise to the top and how it ruined the quality of...

Haha, no problem. Just for future reference, I always use this in Google to search for threads, since vBulletin's search function sucks. site:thefastlaneforum.com your keywords here

    SEO Packages

    MARKETING
This isn't necessarily the case in all niches. For example, if you type in - V14GRA ONLINE - (damn forum spam filter), which is an extremely competitive niche, or least was before Penguin, the site in #1 position is an IMAGE with the only TEXT on the page appearing at the very bottom of the...

What To Do? Need Some Advice!

My authority site got hit, it's been my biggest project. Was ranking 1-2 for a half dozen of the biggest traffic keywords in the niche; not any more. Haha. I now officially hate penguins. But the good thing is that it's forced me to begin developing a strategy to get non-search traffic to...

dealing with fake referals from affiliates

    WEB/DIGITAL
Don't pay the affiliates until you get paid from your lead buyers. Require that they meet a minimum balance $50 / $100 / or whatever, and pay Net 30. So any leads they send you from May 1-30 will be paid out to them on June 30th (provided that they've met the minimum balance). That should...

What To Do? Need Some Advice!

Dude, I can totally relate to your situation. Lack of Passion, bad Partners and Penguins all suck, haha. Are your e-com stores self-sufficient enough that you can move on to something else, or do they require constant maintenance in terms of SEO and customer support? If they are...

HELP!!! My website got Flagged by Google for Spam Techniques

Great tips The-Truth! Rep++ From an SEO perspective though, would you agree that he's better off rebuilding his site on a new domain, since this one's been deindexed? Or would you advise him to make the changes on the current site and hammer it with tons of links? Just curious as to what...

How much do you pay your CPA?

I haven't experienced an audit or anything like that so I'm not exactly sure on the *hourly* rate she charges. I just pay her $250 to prepare & file federal taxes, K-1, and all that stuff. She works in a medium sized firm and doesn't charge extra for phone calls / emails or anything like that.

    Backlink Indexing Case Study

    HOT! MARKETING
Hey, I just checked out the Ubot site today... I never realized that Ubot offered multi-threading! That's why I always thought Zenno had to be a superior tool; but now that I know Ubot does offer multi-threading (with the pro edition), I'm going to give it try. Thanks!
