Paralysed by Fear and Doubt - New Business Launch

    MINDSET
Great analogy. Launch day is just the start of the marathon. You've done a bunch of training to get ready for the marathon, and once the starting gun goes off, you're on your way.

Effective Mindset for Entrepreneurs with Full Time Jobs

    MINDSET
I remember doing that when I had a job. :) Like @404profound said, I found that it helped to compartmentalize the day job so that I mentally punched out / disconnected when I left the office. The side-hustle should NOT be compartmentalized--it should be your obsession. For example, when I...

    When to Pivot?

    EXECUTION
There's actually a 3rd option, which I think is better: get access to someone else's 3D printer. For example, high schools, community colleges, universities, maker spaces, or even just people in your town--anyone who already has a 3D printer. Even if you have to pay a small fee to use it, it'll...

Read it--should've read it sooner. :)

Best way to fulfill a need instantly in a product business?

The closer you can get to interacting with your target market, the better. So, if you want to target college students who are hungry after 10 p.m., your first idea is good. However, it sounds like you want to focus on healthy/keto/high-protein snacks, so not sure if college students would be...

    Wantrepreneur turning Entrepreneur

    INTRO
Generally, people post generalities here. :) More detail is usually found on the insider's threads. Also, for validating ideas, surveys tend to be fairly limited; actual conversations with potential customers yields much richer qualitative info. That said, is your idea B2B, B2C, etc.? Do you...

    Front-end, is it worth?

    SIDE HUSTLE
Learning something can be a stepping stone--especially if you can monetize that knowledge via freelancing/contracting. Then, you can more easily outsource/subcontract those tasks, since you'll be knowledgeable about how to identify people who can do it, then assign tasks & manage people doing them.

Every time I do this, I fail. And so will you.

    EXECUTION
Doubt is poison. It sabotages us by preventing action. Action is the antidote. Action--and its results--show us the way forward.

    I love my job...and that's a problem. I want to FIRE!

    INTRO
Mechatronics--sweet! And welcome to the tribe! One thing I've seen from a lot of technical-minded folks is that they focus on their skills & the tech that they're familiar with. That keeps you in your own head instead of thinking about how you can use your skills/expertise to solve OTHER...

First attempts at clawing my way out of the slow lane

    EXECUTION
Rockin! What can you do to talk to more prospective users/customers? The faster you talk to more people, the quicker you'll refine your idea. The more validation you get, the more it'll fuel you to take more action.

    Training Manual / Procedures

I use ClickUp for managing multiple client projects, each of which has multiple issues/tasks, and I really like it. However, I'm not sure it's ideal for what you're describing; I end up creating issues which contain wiki-type info (e.g., remote access instructions, file locations, etc.)--but...

QUESTION: Should I stay or should I go?

How about this: You probably get business owners making transactions--ask them how their day is, then if they complain about something, dig into the problem & see if it's something that might lend itself to being solved via software. You don't want to pitch them anything--just gather data about...

    INTRO
Get a job so you can pay bills while you're working on your business. Don't expect people to support you & pay for your upkeep while you noodle away on something. Support yourself as you build your business. Then, when the business generates enough revenue to support itself AND you, quit your...

Building SaaS with a full time job, finding focus and pacing

    SAAS / APPS EXECUTION
Exactly. Think about how much control you'll have if YOU own the customer relationships & visibility in your niche instead of your "partner".

Building SaaS with a full time job, finding focus and pacing

    SAAS / APPS EXECUTION
Late to the party, but if your "partner" is doing nothing, end it now. Outsourcing marketing/sales from the start--before you deeply understand your market & what they want--is often a mistake. End that too. Take ownership of it, so you can establish relationships in your niche & start...

    Getting Unstuck

    INTRO
Don't fall into the trap of telling yourself you lack this, that, etc. It's poison. You can figure it out. Tenacity, self-confidence, etc. are habits & muscles you build over time--by taking action over & over, and adjusting & improving. You don't have to build the next Amazon or SpaceX. Do...

Where did all this come from? (Family drama!)

    PEOPLE
You can choose what messages & from whom you allow messages inside your head. Almost all families have dysfunction--some far more than others--but we're ultimately in control of what we let inside our heads. From my own experience, it gets easier to ignore/discount irrelevant opinions/advice...

Extreme lack of self-belief has been haunting me for years. Need help

    MINDSET
First, I can see how, given the events you've laid out, you could make yourself feel pretty low & that the world might appear to hold few opportunities. However, I also see you taking action--not just thinking or action faking. You've sold lots of stuff, and you've gotten a ton of cold calling...
