Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATDo you eat before BJJ? If so, how soon before? People who eat too close to BJJ get sick from rolling. It happens all the time. If you don't eat before, do you take anything for blood sugar like glucose tablets? Low blood sugar can bring the body crashing hard during exercise. What kind of...- Lex DeVille

Lex DeVille's: One Thread For All My Genius, Unhinged, Mostly Really Bad Ideas
GOLD! OFF-TOPICFinally, a Genius/Unhinged/Really Bad Idea to Share Probably the worst idea yet... I have an opponent for the May 3rd AGF Pro division. An 18 y/o purple belt with 62 wins who competes all over the country! As a no-stripe 38 y/o white belt, I've got my work cut out for me. Win or lose... I'm...- Lex DeVille

Lex DeVille's: One Thread For All My Genius, Unhinged, Mostly Really Bad Ideas
GOLD! OFF-TOPICTournament Frenzy Went a bit wild, but I'm ready to level up hard. In the next 30 days, I've got 3 tournaments. One is an away tourny. The others are at home. I'll compete alone in the first. Lilith will compete in the other 2 alongside me. 4/12/25 - ADCC Just found out the ADCC Open is...- Lex DeVille

Lex DeVille's: One Thread For All My Genius, Unhinged, Mostly Really Bad Ideas
GOLD! OFF-TOPICFUJI Tournament I dunno if I was ready for it, but I guess there's no time like the present. At least it was more professional than the last tourny and none of my matches overlapped each other. My first match was in the Gi. My opponent was an explosive dude which made him hard to control. I...- Lex DeVille

Scaling a model car business, how?
SCALING FEEDBACKIf I had this problem, I would try increasing my price per car. Try $500. Can people get this anywhere else? Do they know where? If they're willing to pay $300, they're probably willing to pay more. For reach, TikTok timelapse videos of production might work. With more demand, higher prices make...- Lex DeVille

Lex DeVille's - How I Bought a $4k Laser and Started an Engraving Side Hustle for Free (super easy)
NOTABLE! SIDE HUSTLEI sold my laser the last time I relocated. I was worried it wouldn't make the trip because it's pretty big. Something I saw over the past few years is that everyone at craft festivals has a laser now. Seems like the same shit pops up over and over. Nobody has any real creativity. They just watch...- Lex DeVille

Lex DeVille's: One Thread For All My Genius, Unhinged, Mostly Really Bad Ideas
GOLD! OFF-TOPICCompetition Prep Sunday, Lilith and I hit the mats for prep. We drilled for about 3 hours, then finished strong with an hour of competition class. I'm nervous because she's fighting at gray belt instead of white, but I'm also more confident in her abilities than ever. In class, she's tapped out...- Lex DeVille

GOLD! OFF-TOPICCombat Corner Brand Ambassador I spent a grand on CRNR fight gear yesterday, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that they let me to join their "Brand Ambassador" program. Lex DeVille's: One Thread For All My Genius, Unhinged, Mostly Really Bad Ideas
GOLD! OFF-TOPICMy First Class Tuesday, I went to the BJJ Basics class at 5. We practiced scissor sweeps, countering the scissor sweep, and countering the counter to the scissor sweep with a triangle. I enjoyed the format of the teaching. Coach explained things in a very practical way. After we practiced each...- Lex DeVille
