Climate Change is the #1 Problem the World Faces

    HOT!
I think that is too vague of a problem to solve and I have other thoughts but we're not supposed to be political here. "Find problems to solve" doesn't actually mean that you have to save the world. If you literally want to help people, you could go build houses in Haiti or something. If you...

    The Latte Factor... smh

It is true that if you follow their method of "wealth", you must skip the coffee. Good thing there are ways to have your latte and drink it too.

    Children's Book Publishing... WOW?!

    HOT!
There are a lot of markets out there filled with crap these days. I've been told that's subjective, though, and only my opinion, so I'm sure I'm just a snob. ;) On my bucket list of some-day projects because I can illustrate it myself.

Should I be worried about capitalism changing? Or am I overthinking it?

    HOT!
And the majority of the public would be very surprised to learn that even the poor pay taxes--not income tax, but FICA and other stuff--if they dare to be self employed. Not only is it a (tax) crime to be wealthy, it's also a (tax) crime to be self employed at any level of income. If you're self...

What will you accomplish in 2019?

    EXECUTION
I should have posted a month ago, but I was a little vague as to how to accomplish anything. I've got to lose weight and I'm happy to say I'm down 4 pounds, all through portion control. It takes a LOT of self discipline when your roommate loves junk food and it's in the house. I am keeping a...

Habit changer: TV is a pitiful waste of time

    HOT! MINDSET
I don't watch TV, but I've been known to binge read. If I am out and about (like waiting in a doctors office or in line), then I read. I always have books downloaded to both my phone and tablet. (Eagerly awaiting "Atomic Habits" from the library) I only have a few social media apps on my phone...

Why MJ’s My Fastlane Daily is better than The 10X Planner

    HOT! MINDSET
I'm cheap (broke!) and made my own version, but I have to say, it's VERY USEFUL.

How many Business Failures did you have before success?

    NOTABLE! CHAT
I'm still failing, sort of. Still working on stabilizing my primary business (handmade stuff) which is not fast lane. I do make a small profit, but the income needs to be stable before I dabble in any more fast lane ventures, although they are always being worked on in my head and in the background.

{Success Story} Feeling stuck? A six month case study of when I dropped everything to buy a business

    NOTABLE! EXECUTION
That is genius! I never thought of buying an existing business. I have a feeling I'd be better at that than all my from-scratching I've done. Well done! Rep sent. Now to go do some research...

If you use Google Adwords, or SEO, consider this

    MARKETING
Actually, that isn't true. It gives you the relevant results for the questions it wishes you'd asked. I am usually looking for information and 9 times out of 10, it crosses out one of my search terms, which is usually the most important one. I'm not sure if the answers I'm looking for don't...

What problems do you have on a daily basis?

    HOT!
My problems are not ones I could pay you to fix for me. You could come do some physical tasks for me for free out of the goodness of your heart but I am guessing you are asking more along the lines of what can we pay you for?

GET PAID INSTANT, DAILY INCOME $800-$1200/MONTH

    HOT! SIDE HUSTLE
Except for the part where you can work your own schedule at home as health permits. There is that. Seriously, Mturk is not terrible if you need cash. I've not done it but no way could I physically do something like McDonald's either right now, so if I were to pick one, it would be mturk.

    The Gas Pump thread

    HOT!
Disabled people, too. I can see both sides. I don't really like pumping gas, and I'd probably pay more for full service, but I can also see why people would think it's something they wouldn't want to pay for and don't see the point of. Business opportunity? Maybe. OH YES!!!!!!!!!

My 600lb Life: Addiction, Enabling, More (RANT)

    NOTABLE!
I have a generous roommate who buys chips (crisps). They are one of the people to whom food = love. I love chips and so my battle is fought in my own kitchen. o_O

My 600lb Life: Addiction, Enabling, More (RANT)

    NOTABLE!
Oh, yes!!!!!!!! It's terrible. It's basically saying we should be eating something like 11 slices of bread a day. But, then, that's the government, so it's what I'd expect. This thread is really interesting and food is a fascinating subject. I think a big part of the bad...

Can We Talk Tools for the "Maker Market"?

    HOT!
Etsy runs a weekly thread in the "Promos" section of their forums called "Post your custom item requests here". Alchemy was better, but like someone said, it was shut down. One thing I like, that Tandy leather just came out with in a small version, is a clicker press: Craftool Pro Clicker...

    Blue Collar Recession

    HOT!
I've thought about this a fair amount--why it's so hard to find employees to do physical jobs. I'm not sure if younger people think blue collar physical work is beneath them or if they are so out of shape from sitting on their behinds and staring at phones and video games all day that they...

    5$ v 50 cents

    MINDSET
It's not really a matter of just buying what you want when you want, ask all the bankrupt athletes, rappers, and lottery winners how that works out for people who buy on a whim. A big part of having money and keeping it is knowing the value of it. To me, a $5 coffee is a better value than a $1...
