How I hacked my dopamine to train and reward desired work behaviors and halt procrastination

    HOT! MINDSET
Great question. Really, all you need is a small dopamine hit. So anything that gives you pleasure will work. Here are some ideas that come to mind. I talked to a friend recently who is doing some kind of neurofeedback training. She said when she gets something right, it will show pretty...

Are these slave wages, or should I lower my standards?

    SIDE HUSTLE
I worked for a large marketing agency (500 employees, 5000 customers) in the US. My pay was minimum wage for the 8-hour workaday plus $18 per 500-word article. I was writing about 5 articles a day. This was 2016-2018. Thing is, my company was charging the client $150 for that same article...

    Brainstorming and ideas

    IDEA
It is so brutal to struggle with depression and anxiety holding you back from what you know you could accomplish. I'm in the thick of the battle at the moment. Hang in there, chin up, be very kind to yourself, and you'll make it. What kind of business are you thinking of trying to start...

Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency Discussion (And Predictions)

    HOT! CRYPTO CHAT
That's like asking a property owner, "would you be willing to sell a little bit of your land for bread? Just 1/16 of an acre. How much bread would you need in exchange for a small parcel of land?" It doesn't make any sense. The bread is consumable. The land is enduring and will go up in...

This was a fantastic share. Thank you, @mon_fi ! Excellent stuff. (When you have a 1.5 hour video of a college class that has racked up almost 2 million views, you know that's got to be a pretty impressive class.) It's interesting how many of the principles he explores also apply to...

    Bitcoin / cryptocurrency crash #2

    HOT! CRYPTO INVESTING
A better question to ask is, "What possible conditions could lead to another big retraction in bitcoin?" They won't be the same conditions that prompted the last big drop. This is how I think this through: The USD is currently the world's reserve currency. USD is backed by "the full faith...

Abandoned Boats and Ships: The Problem with No Cost-Efficient Removal Options and Potential for Govt Contracts

That's an interesting problem. I read this article not too long ago about how there is a whole cruise ship dismantling industry in Turkey. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2020/10/30/travel/cruise-ships-scrapped.amp.html I wonder if there would be any parallels to study from...

Not sure. I'm guessing that the charged off account will just go to collections and your Capital One account should be intact? But don't quote me on that one ... I could be completely wrong. I agree though - if you've already got the Capital One account, that would be better to hold onto.
