    Point of no return

    MINDSET
Welcome to the forum, @IlseVdG. I think you already know what to do, because you have organized your options in order from least desirable to most desirable. I believe that you have already decided against options 1 and 2. 3 and 4 are the steps you are taking now, and these steps have given you...

Retirement Is Looking Bleak for Millennials...

I liked the part where it said that millenials should focus on the part of the equation (retiring at 65, saving half their income) that they have control over. I thought they were going to say make more money (so that the required savings is less than 50 percent). But, no, they said retire...

I am a new deaf fast laner and I want to share my story. (Long read)

    INTRO
@dauntless, you aren't creating a problem, I just wanted you to not overestimate the significance. Also, you mentioned that the visual arts business you have created is not fastlane, but remember another way to achieve that fastlane goal is to sell your business, so could you nurse your...

I am a new deaf fast laner and I want to share my story. (Long read)

    INTRO
@dauntless, welcome to the forum! You have already taken steps toward running a business. I think you should just go for it, wherever your ideas lead you. Think of all the business that can be conducted without ever speaking to a soul. Communicate via email, or hire someone if you need to handle...

Texas Hold 'Em Buddies/Mentors/Team for the Summit? :p

    OFF-TOPIC
I haven't played three card poker, either. I am a table game noob, just like you. I've placed a few bets at the roulette wheel for my husband, but last time that was ridiculous because it was all automated and I couldn't figure it out. Too much effort. I guess at least, since it took me so long...

Texas Hold 'Em Buddies/Mentors/Team for the Summit? :p

    OFF-TOPIC
@BellaPippin, I have been to casinos before, and I play poker with my family, but, like you, I've only played in a poker tournament once at a fundraiser. I can play Texas Hold 'Em with you, but I think I might prefer Three Card Poker because then I'd only be playing against the house. I'm not...

What business would you start with $50,000 to help save bees

    HOT!
    Heck, beebeds.com is taken.

"I don't know what product to sell" How You Choose A Product-Based Business

    NOTABLE!
Now you're talking. That might even get my son to quit pestering me to buy a firearm for bear protection. Not that I'm opposed to it, I just have a personal philosophy of not spending money unless I'm making money, and I am trying to get on fastlane track right now, and I don't want to dip into...

    Time-blocking my week

    HOT!
Well you both have to eat, so if you set up a routine with a caregiver for your kids, that can help automate it. If you know you are going to pay someone anyway, maybe that will force the issue.

What business would you start with $50,000 to help save bees

    HOT!
@biophase doesn't have to buy the hives, he can sell them, and market them as Backyard Beehives, and maybe, if I'm interpreting correctly what @Danny Sullivan says is already happening in Europe, Americans could start raising their own pollinators just as they raise their own little crops with...

What business would you start with $50,000 to help save bees

    HOT!
My parents have one of these houses! I don't know if it's from the same company, because it looks a little different, but yeah, it provides a house for the pollinator without having to deal with harvesting honey.

"I don't know what product to sell" How You Choose A Product-Based Business

    NOTABLE!
Maybe, @biophase, combine the bears and bees ideas. Give some proceeds from the bear repellent product to bees. I'll have to read your bee thread. Thanks for linking.

I would probably debilitate myself with that - aerosols might get in the user's eyes. Maybe same idea, but installed instead on the handlebars.

"I don't know what product to sell" How You Choose A Product-Based Business

    NOTABLE!
I have a can in my room, on my nightstand. I bought 4 cans at Yellowstone National Park, never used it (thank goodness) and now I use it for personal protection (also never used, thank goodness). I gave a can to each of my kids, and they don't know where they are. GRRR. So now I get to spend...

    Time-blocking my week

    HOT!
I like how you are in charge of family time, which you scheduled in. In the past, you have commented about that being why you enjoy the Fastlane pathway, because you are in control of your life and to have the freedom to spend time with your kids. Too often, families just get what is left over.

Maybe a stupid question, where to sell my art?

Another way to gain exposure might be if you join a local art league, if you have them where you live. Sometimes they have art sales from their members, and you could generate local interest, and refer to your website or etsy shop by handing out business cards.

Is there a way to sort answers by likes on the fastlane forum? (A: YES!)

Cool! I never even knew this feature existed, so I never missed it, but now I can use it. It's like when you discover a favorite book or television series after it has been completed, so you can read or watch the whole thing at once. Not that I should be binge-reading. Nope, not me.
