Concept To Funded Kickstarter in Less Than a Month. [Tabletop]
HOT!This is an example if that: Looking at the date they joined, it looks like they joined specifically to back exploding kittens. While they were here on kickstarter and preeducated, They went ahead and backed my project. These are the only two projects they backed. Big names, celebrities, and...- DennisD

Concept To Funded Kickstarter in Less Than a Month. [Tabletop]
HOT!Creator of Forbidden Island and Pandemic did a game called Forbidden Dessert and it's my absolute favorite. Smartsmartsmart behind-the-scenes game design. The "hidden information" feature was groundbreaking. I don't think people will be burning their laptops in the street, and I don't think the...- DennisD

Concept To Funded Kickstarter in Less Than a Month. [Tabletop]
HOT!What do you play? Yeah, I talked to a few Asian manufacturers and found one I felt comfortable with. If I can reach required MOQ on my order I'll be ordering parts individually from them and assembling them myself, shipping the extra games to amazon. I'll have to see what I can do. I'm glad...- DennisD

Concept To Funded Kickstarter in Less Than a Month. [Tabletop]
HOT!I wouldn't say unfortunate at all.... I'm actually excited about it, it's fortunate if anything. I just had this argument with another game designer. The only people who suffer from losses due to another project doing well are people who relied on random people to fund. I didn't PLAN on random...- DennisD

Concept To Funded Kickstarter in Less Than a Month. [Tabletop]
HOT!I'm so glad somebody's doing that! It's funny. I recently found out that I might have had Dyslexia for the past 27 years and just developed coping mechanisms to cover it up. When it was pointed out to me that it might be the case, I was like "It makes so much sense". In fact, I think that many...- DennisD

Concept To Funded Kickstarter in Less Than a Month. [Tabletop]
HOT!Thanks for the luck. I asked my friends to share it on their facebook and basically won't shut up about it (I try to be nonspammy, just excited). A few of my friends and business buddies supported me off the bat which was REALLY nice... it gave the project some social proof. I contacted blogs...- DennisD

Concept To Funded Kickstarter in Less Than a Month. [Tabletop]
HOT!The Beginning: Boardgames are the future. I give them a LOT of thought. (An anti-tech trend will be upon us soon... followed by a homeostasis that balances tech and non-tech entertainment.) On December 24th, 2014 (christmas eve) I had an idea for a board game... My girlfriend and I printed up...- DennisD

What camera do you use for product photography?
Nope. I went to school for film/video/media/photography and had entire courses on using pro equipment to take photography... But I'm sure there are some nice lighting courses out there.- DennisD

Gamblers - what's your game?
OFF-TOPICI don't really find gambling fun. Couldn't tell you why, but I was never drawn to it. I enjoy taking risks and chances, and there's often money on the line... but I get so much of that in my day-to-day that I can't imagine myself 'escaping' to gambling for fun. If I'm going to do something...- DennisD

What camera do you use for product photography?
The camera I use(d) with clients: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ZYF3LO/?tag=tff-amazonparser-20 about $100 out of your price-range new. From my experience, it's a better investment to spend $ on lighting and a product lighting course..- DennisD

Too scared to fail: Millennials aren't starting businesses
GOLD! MINDSETTHANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS. It's just people finding something to bitch about. The "share" of young business owners is lower than the overall whole of all business owners. But I bet you that the total number of young business owners has gone up. Tech entrepreneurs like Mark Zuckerberg are/were...- DennisD

Daily Youtube Kickstarter Show
EXECUTIONThanks a ton, I appreciated it. I haven't been posting here because I haven't had a lot of time as-of-late and any update I make, I want to be MEANINGFUL. Basically: I ran out of cash and had to stop putting 100% of my effort into RebelFund so I can do clientwork. Instead of 5 episodes/week...- DennisD
