The Origin Of Money and Value

    MINDSET
This is superficial and doesn't actually matter. There was never anything to "back up" value. The amount of gold in the reserve doesn't increase or diminish your ability to provide a service or product to your peers. We're just pushing sand around to make ourselves feel better, it only serves...

The Origin Of Money and Value

    MINDSET
Instead of posting in this thread, I wrote this and figured it needed it's own space. Check it out: Toast IS Bread. "How do I make more toast?" Put more bread into the toaster. Money IS value. "How do I make more money?" Provide more value. Let's break it down: ORIGINS OF CAPITALISM: I am...

Why I unfollowed everybody on twitter.

    MARKETING
When I first started twitter, I used tips and tricks to accrue as many followers as humanly possible. To me, it was a game really, a numbers game, where follower count = high-score. So, I'd do all the 'mass follow' tricks to reach as many people as possible, knowing that about 20% would follow...

    Smart Phone App idea

    IDEA
Sometimes. Most people who use social media do, but it doesn't matter. What matters is if people will ever go out of their way to want to LOOK at this stuff posted to a separate app. People post pictures of their kids to social media, they post pictures of their animals, pictures of the shit...

    Smart Phone App idea

    IDEA
Anything can work if done correctly. There's a good idea in here, but the challenge is stripping away enough BS so that it'll work. I see forced reasoning in Micah's posts. There are many hollow presumptions that can be dangerous to act upon. What the hell kind of reasoning is this supposed...

    Smart Phone App idea

    IDEA
This isn't a need. People are already taking photos of their food and uploading them elsewhere. They're already sharing their experiences. So, is having a "dedicated place" just for food really filling a void? It's INVENTING a void retroactively. There's no great need right now for people to...

    People don't want "Free Money"

I don't want to hijack the other thread any more ( https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/community/threads/habits-are-hard-to-form-nope-develop-any-habit-quickly.60179/ ) But I couldn't let the conversation die. It's rare to see something like this unfold in nature in real time. The first post was...

Habits are hard to form? NOPE! Develop any habit quickly.

    MINDSET
I think he's legit. It's an unfortunate consequence of not understanding internet etiquette when entering established communities. What seems helpful: embedding a video What seems fishy: Linking to a 1 week free ecourse/blog embedding two videos a link to a book To an udemy ecource a link to...

Habits are hard to form? NOPE! Develop any habit quickly.

    MINDSET
I find it interesting that there's hate at the OP. That Fogg guy's legit. I've read the book and it's also legit. None of the product links are affiliate links. Yet I too had alarm bells sounding in my head. All my instincts are telling me that the OP isn't genuine. why? Best I can figure...

How to become a better speaker?

This. PRACTICE. Speak in public every chance you get. Join a group, maybe START a group, volunteer for stuff. When nobody else is around, use a camera or microphone to get better. I have dozens and dozens of videos of me talking to the camera, as practice.... nobody will ever see them but me...

The problem that people keep pointing out.... It's tough for humans to consume info if it's not structured via storytelling. Even if it's nonfiction, even if it's nonlinear, you need a story to frame your information in. From couch potato to marathon runner in 6 months. The 13 step plan for...

It's time to get my shit together; sell eBooks

    EXECUTION
I don't think it's as money-chasing as it sounds. It's a trap I see a lot of people get sucked into. It starts with them reading about marketing (because they're interested in starting a biz). At that point, the thing they're most passionate about and the thing they can recite at the drop of a...

It's time to get my shit together; sell eBooks

    EXECUTION
Traffic > Free incentive > Autoresponder > Paid product This is a legit pipeline. It's used all the time very profitably. What makes you suggest otherwise? You're right. It's NOT the best niche to start out in. Don't do other niches later, do other niches NOW. You're wasting your time. Do you...
