    Can you cover your living expenses while you work on getting clients? Because if it takes you longer than you'd planned to get clients, you'll be desperate for ANY client--and that desperation will seep its way into your actions & conversations with them & turn them away.

    This is behavioral contagion. Exemplify what you'd like others to do, and they often (not always) get influenced by you. You're the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with; so, who's spending the most time with YOU? "I'll believe it when I see it." So show them.
