ATTENTION! Roll Call: Military Personnel Toe The Line!!!

    INTRO
Retired US Air Force. I know a lot of you guys are enlisted, but for any officers out there I found a great program. You can be a CAT 'E' Reservist in the Air Force and become an 'Admissions Liaison Officer' for the US Air Force Academy. Although you don't get paid for it, you can get a good...

How do you guys find the deals ?

    REAL ESTATE
Network, Network, Network. Go to your local REIA meetings and let everyone know you are looking. Talk to as many realtors as you can for the area you are interested in. Talk to lots of contractors and tell them you are looking (also think about using them if they bring you a good deal)...

Can the Fastlane Forum Really Be Slowlane..?

    SLOWLANE
Totally agree. Maybe it's me. But there are so many distractions and little voices inside your head saying 'don't take a risk. Be content with what you have.' It's easy to rationalize that I am reading the forum, and therefore I am doing fastlane activities. I just wanted to point out that...

Can the Fastlane Forum Really Be Slowlane..?

    SLOWLANE
No - I'm not just trying out different copywriting headlines. Let me start off by saying I love MJ's book, the forum, the great people I've met on it, the people I have met in person as a result of meeting them on the forum, the contacts that have been passed along, the lessons I have learned...

Fastlane Principles in a Slowlane Job

    SLOWLANE
Thanks SteveO. That means a lot coming from you. I was thinking it might be good to start a thread to help people free up time in their slowlane job to concentrate on fastlane endeavors? There is plenty of fastlane stuff in the forum - it might be nice to lessen the slowlane to give more...

Fastlane Principles in a Slowlane Job

    SLOWLANE
I am really trying to get to a Fastlane lifestyle using real estate as soon as I can. But I have not found an opportunity yet to 'burn the boats' and quit my slowlane job. While I continue to look for this opportunity, or build my real estate portfolio until it can sustain me as a fastlaner...

Great idea! Turn this frustration into a passion for fueling my fastlane business. Might be my favorite book of all time (sorry MJ). Couldn't agree more on this. My favorite chapter in the book is "You Can't Win an Argument". I don't bitch about this stuff to my daughter/wife/family. I...

    Why Colleges Don't Teach Copywriting...

    RANT
I did not mean to say that college can't teach her anything, and my apologies if that is how I came across. She wants to major in business or economics. As everyone on this forum can attest - those subjects can best be learned through the school of hard knocks! I just have been listening to...

    Why Colleges Don't Teach Copywriting...

    RANT
My daughter is about to go off to college next year. Throughout our whole college search, I keep asking the most important copywriting question: What's In It For Me (My Daughter)? I never get a good answer for this question. Here's examples of what I found that people pick colleges for - and...

The importance of selecting the right friends

    PEOPLE
I just talked to a buddy who was my copilot in the Air Force 20+ years ago. He is now a Colonel and a Wing Commander. He is thinking of leaving the Air Force and does not know what to do. He will get a decent retirement and is thinking of flying for the airlines. I sent him "The Four Hour...

so many ideas for my new business no idea how to execute

    IDEA
I've done a bunch of flips and rehabs of 1-3 unit houses, and I would kill for a great plumber! I just can't find a really good one. Either they don't show up, take forever, put in crap, or they are unbelievably expensive and just do exactly what you tell them. I would be incredibly loyal to...
