    I don't think some people can do it. 5 or so years ago, I worked long nights for a year...got about 4-4.5 hours a day sleep maybe; I was tired for basically a year straight and never adjusted. Couldn't do anything physical, even on days off, due to lack of energy and mental dullness.

    So your friend is allowing the owner to exit the company and then plugging a competent manager back into the business in place of the owner? Are old owners reluctant to owner finance or do they not normally care and just want out?

    IMO Yes....if he can scale them up etc. Would still be nice cash-flow though if all is running well. Does he buy them as fixer uppers with intention of a turnaround or is he buying companies in good shape? Just curious. Personally, I would rather take over an existing business than start one...

    In my experience this is completely false lol. They might not all be gold diggers but they are definitely biased towards the illusion. Many women wont date a blue collar guy even if he made more money than the white collar guy etc.

    The largest amount of money I have ever lost was over time when I had a job lol. If you have a ceiling on your earnings like most you can go broke easier. Toughest times have been recent, I will blame it on a collapsed market that never returned and not finding the solution within the market.
