    Email list

    WEB/DIGITAL
I had the demo version of iContact for my dad's office for a brief period, but all I can remember was that it was pretty easy to input addresses. Also, the customer service people were pretty eager to help, although they called several times to see what I thought of the trial. It seemed more...

    Ref tackles QB - unbelievable

    FUNNY
I saw that on Yahoo! Crazy!!!! I wonder what the ref said about it. That's just unbelievable.

why is truly meaningful, valuable stuff so hard to do?

    OFF-TOPIC
Yeah, I hate this stuff too. As a student, I have to deal with this crap on a routine basis (tests, homework, essays, projects, etc...). It's never easy. I usually end up just trying to break it down. Usually helps and makes it a little easier. Also, sometimes when I try to twist it into...

    It's playoff time!!!

    OFF-TOPIC
I'm gonna say Tampa Bay in 5. I don't think Philly has the pitching to win it outside of Hamels.

Eating Healthy for the long term

    OFF-TOPIC
Good stuff, Richkid. Something you might want to keep in mind, though: Even if a food may be low in fat, calories, or sugar, it still might not be something you should be putting into your body. Plenty of things like Splenda are artifical chemicals that are better off left out of your body...

Economic (and other) effects of a casino

    OFF-TOPIC
I don't think it's just about the jobs that are created by the casino directly (e.g., dealers, waitresses). There will also be construction jobs created from building the casino. And then there will be more business that will come from the addition of the casino (e.g., restaurants, bars...

I think I see something I'd like to own.

    Time to Buy?

    REAL ESTATE
That sounds pretty cool. Who would run this, though? Where would these investments take place? How would it be organized?

    Fastlane Fantasy Football

    OFF-TOPIC
Atlanta has been looking good. Matt Ryan looks like the real deal. It's always cool to see rebuilding projects going well and exceeding expectations. Just shows that with a good plan and the right mindset/attitude, success is never impossible.

    Slight Problem.

It would probably be slowlane at first, yes. However, if you learn to delegate most of the work to your employees (or friends in this case), it can become Fastlane quite quickly. Example: Charge $40 to clean an office. If it takes 2 hours to clean, your friend that you pay to do this job would...

    Slight Problem.

Thanks! I'd recommend contacting local practices. Doctors, lawyers, accountants -- whoever works from a private office. Explain your situation and motivation, and offer your services to them at a reasonable price. You can quite easily make this a pretty easy little private business. If you get...

    Fastlane Fantasy Football

    OFF-TOPIC
My team sucks!!! I scored a whopping 37 points this week...embarrassing! I invoiced everyone for the league fee (minus Luke and hak who have already paid). There should be a PayPal email in everybody's inbox for the email address that you have linked with your Yahoo account. (If you don't...

    Slight Problem.

What about cleaning offices? My dad is a doctor, and I clean his office every Sunday for about $30. It's pretty easy, and it only takes about 1.5-2 hours. I listen to my iPod the whole time, and I now I've added some Podcasts/audiobooks to my library to help make the time even more productive...

Sounds like you need an elevator pitch! Congrats on the progress!

    Slight Problem.

I think you should be fine PMing just about anyone here. Some might take longer to respond than others because some people here can be pretty busy, but most are willing to help.

    Thriving in the New Economy

    HOT!
Lol, yeah...I guess it's just something I'd never put much thought into before. I guess I see it everyday around here. Landscapers have guys driving trucks around, and I highly doubt they're all legal and licensed.
