Think Long term instead of short term

    MINDSET RANT
I remember finally grasping what long term thinking was like when I did the 75 Hard challenge. I was so committed to completing that thing that when I started, I could look ahead 2 months and know exactly what I was going to be doing... I was going to be doing 2x 45-minute exercises, drinking a...

Building a Construction Business Alongside a Marketing Business

    MARKETING
Construction: We hired a new guy who started last week. So far he is doing a great job. He's older and has decades of experience so he's perfect to pair with our young guy who knows nothing. It's been awesome to roll into a job with 4-5 guys and knock it out in a day when before it would have...

Building a Construction Business Alongside a Marketing Business

    MARKETING
Construction Business Hey @RazorCut. Thanks for chiming in. Yes, I agree about the difficulty and not-always-great revenue from large projects as compared with small ones. I read some of your thread and see you refrained from hiring employees because you didn't want to manage them. That's been...

Building a Construction Business Alongside a Marketing Business

    MARKETING
Well, our marketing is working... We've received 6 leads for construction projects in the last 24 hours. The sales process for home remodeling can be time-consuming. We have to meet with people in their home, talk about what they want, and take measurements so we can create an estimate. For...

Branding vs Search Marketing in Regional Town

    MARKETING
It might be something you have to actively sell. Find out what events are coming or happen every year and figure out how runs it. Marketing is weird and really depends on how the people in your market find what they're looking for. In a big city there are so many people that even if something...

Need advice asap from wise people in this forum.

    SIDE HUSTLE
Just start doing it. You'll learn a lot and it won't take you long before you either continue or change your path. Sitting around wondering is just going to leave you unsure about what to do which is a waste of time state to be in. You have plenty of time to test and try, make mistakes and...

Building a Construction Business Alongside a Marketing Business

    MARKETING
Business 101 It's been exactly 1000 days since I registered my first business. I took the path less traveled and started a digital marketing agency in 2017. The goal was to earn enough money to travel and be free. Mission accomplished. You can read about that here if you like on my first...

Praise in public. Criticise in private.

"Check your work as if you're the client trying to verify the work was done correctly." This idea has helped us avoid letting the clients find our mistakes before we do.

The masses are grumpy because wages have stagnated while inflation has inreased the prices of everything over the decades. My grandpa was an HVAC technician making 30/hr in 1950 and bought his first house for like 40k. HVAC techs make the same wage today and that same house is going for 500k...

    My Experience with Modafinil

    HEALTH
I have taken modafinil many times over the last few years. I experimented the most in Mexico because it's over the counter there. I found no obvious negative side effects except that it causes tension at higher doses. It's a stimulant, and though it's subtle, I noticed the tension after a few...

The Fox Legends Program (over 1,000 Fastlane students)

    MARKETPLACE
I joined Fox's program back in 2017 without knowing anything about web design or sales. Within 2 months of joining, I sold my first web design project for 5k thus providing over 500% of return on my initial investment. That's when I knew for sure that this stuff works. For two years after that...
