SOLD COMPANY & NET £500k FROM IT - what next?

Could you tell us what you did. In general terms if you don't want to be specific. At this point you have one post claiming to have made 500K with no details. So we don't know what to think.

    Subscription vs Ads

You are overthinking it. Just identify what you can package as paid members only benefit and move it inside the premium section. Make the main site free and put Adsense on it. Adsense works until you can find better alternatives. For momentum, It's difficult to suggest strategies without...

I'm a fifteen year old kid who posted here more than one year ago. Here's what I've been up to.

    NOTABLE! FTE
Congrats to you and how I wish kids here were half as creative as you. Here's what I would do. Reach out to every person you have worked with and ask them how they are now and if they remember you and your work and if you could help them now in any way. But quote them slightly higher rates than...

    Subscription vs Ads

Why does it have to be only paid or only ads? Can't it be both? This forum is a perfect example. There's ads for free members but none for paying insider members? Freemium is perfectly legit when growing a user base. I would suggest like @Andy Black said above, find something which your members...

Another scourge of the slowlane: open offices

    SLOWLANE RANT
Hmmm, what would be the reasoning for a company adopting an open office? My mind says that it would be just done to save money, both in initial investment and in running costs. But then I think there are very well off companies who are also employing open offices so maybe there is a benefit I...

Hello, I'm lost right now. I'd love advice.

    INTRO
How many hours are there in a day? 24. How many hours do you have to be in University? I am guessing 8. How many hours do you need for sleep and other things. I can do with 10. I am assuming you can count. That leaves 6 hours. So you work part time . Even then assuming an average of 3 spare...

Getting traffic as a new company with a low budget

    MARKETING
Since you asked a few times how you can get traffic without advertising. Here's a not so easy but very rewarding way. Research top blogs which deal with topics related to your niche. I would research the top 10 blogs. Now write an article that would REALLY REALLY help people in your niche...

Game of Thrones Season 8 Thread (SPOILERS)

    OFF-TOPIC
This guy on YouTube created a brilliant alternate story for episode 3 Battle of winterfell which closed several open loops. Just goes on to show that with a little imagination and creativity this season could have been far more satisfying. You don't need more episodes or budget or CGI, just more...

Game of Thrones Season 8 Thread (SPOILERS)

    OFF-TOPIC
Naah, Jon will kill Dany then quit the throne, he doesn't want it. They will probably find some other minor character as king / queen. Arya is pretty much gone from the show, rode into the sunset and all that.

Dealing with porn and other addictions

    HOT! MINDSET
Addiction is a filler. When in your subconscious, you have this empty feeling, you want to distract yourself away. You can turn to several things to fill this emptiness. Some turn to alcohol, some to drugs, some to porn, some to television, video games, fantasy movies. Porn is easily...

Stay In School It's Not A Waste Of Time!

    RANT
The problem with such blanket topics as "School is a waste of time", "Climate change is fake" etc etc is that everyone on every side generalises what he / she thinks the other person is saying. The OP surely had some valid points when he started but the valid points get lost in what the other...

How does my new site look?

    EXECUTION
On your Map selection page, the Add Rectangle button should be above the map, not below it. I kept clicking on the map a few times expecting something to happen and then realized nothing's happening... :) Luckily I scrolled down before closing down the window. Also the "Number of Addresses"...
