If you don't want to spend the money to get it shipped air then you can use China post or slower mail (30+ days). $65 doesn't sound too bad to get it here from China. Just figure in the shipping costs when you are looking for the profit amount.

T The only rebranding I have done is when the manufacture asked if I wanted to brand it under my own. I would suggest just contacting the manufacture and making sure that it is ok to do so.

That seems fine. Just make sure when you pay through Paypal you mark that you are buying something not sending as a gift. That semi protects you from fraud.

I just use a little ledger type book. I pay for everything i buy with a dedicated credit card so I get a statement every month with all my purchases. Every day when I print shipping labels i figure out my profit for the day. At the end of the month i total my monthly profit and put that on a...

Well $4 profit certainly isn't much but at least now you know what your profits can be. Then you just have to decide if it is worth it for $4 or not. But hey on the upside you are making sales and learning!

It is honestly just a super time consuming process. That is the barrier to entry is that people give up because it is too "hard". I normally hit a super broad keyword and then narrow it down by price (looking to buy things say $5-$10 each) then I just go through the list looking at each item...

On eBay, the more you sell the more you sell. I know that sounds odd but sales makes new buyers feel comfortable in buying as well. If your profit margins can handle it I would drop your price a few dollars cheaper than his. A few pennies will not sway someone to buy from you instead of him but...

If you are selling to people in Europe you will have an advantage over the Chinese sellers. If you are selling to people in the US they will be just as wary of buying from you as they would a Chinese seller. The trick is you can charge a considerably higher price when the customer receives it in...

The one says 14 sold the other shows 11 sold (one person bought 2) and 3 still available. I would assume when they ended the listing they put that they had sold the items through another sales channel hence the 14 sold but it would appear they sold 11 total on eBay in this listing.

USPS tracking can be really screwed up sometimes. Last Christmas I had 100+ packages that I had shipped that showed they were out for delivery to my house!! Customers were messaging me and flipping out because they of course needed the items for Christmas. It was just an error in the system and...

I like to find products that are selling on eBay or Amazon for $40+ When I said "sale price" I was referring to the price I was going to sell the item for. So if I'm selling the item for $20 on eBay i want to profit $10 on it. If I sell it for $40 I like to profit $20. Obviously you aren't going...

Completed listings are your best friend. If there are other sellers of those items you can see what those sellers are selling. If they are selling as buy it now you can also see the quantity they have sold in their listing.

On a $20 smallish item you are going to spend $8ish in shipping and fees. I always try to do profit at 50% of sales price so $20 item I want to make $10. So unless I could get the item for a couple bucks I wouldn't do it. I try and look for items in the 40+ range. Then you are looking at $10 in...

Every problem you encounter is a barrier to entry. Every problem helps to weed out people who arn't serious about the business or who are just quitters in general. Yes it sucks to have problems and yes it sucks to lose money. What sucks a lot more than that is working 40 hours a week for $1600 a...

I agree $7 isn't enough margin. You have to pay $2 in eBay/paypal fees so that brings you to $5 and shipping will eat up almost all of that even using the slowest shipping possible. You either need to find the product at a lower price or move on to a different product.
