EXECUTIONI bought a house 3 years ago for $50k and lived in it for 3 years. Just sold it for 90k. We spent 10k on updates/maintenance over the 3 years so we made 10k a year on a 50k investment. Every situation is different but in my case owning my home was far better than renting.- Ecom man
