HOT! SIDE HUSTLEVinted In the previous post, @Sander mentioned using Vinted. I overlooked the app because I thought it was for Europeans only. About a month ago YouTube started advertising to me, so I gave it a shot. I listed a few books at $2 to $3 to get a feel for how things work. To my surprise, they sold...- Lex DeVille

My project is up and running, but I haven't made any sales yet.
MARKETINGI don't know anything about TikTok marketing, so I don't have any suggestions for getting people to your site from TikTok. Personally, I wouldn't spend $15 on a massager. I'm definitely not spending $70 on one that looks like every other massager and claims to solve the same pain points that...- Lex DeVille

GOLD! OFF-TOPICDissertation Research What a slog... First, I had to research and select Chair and Committee members. This involved reviewing their psychology work history, contacting them to introduce myself, and requesting that they fill these roles. Next, I propose a research idea. My proposal goes through...- Lex DeVille

GOLD! OFF-TOPICIt was my personal warmup mats. ADCC doesn't have warm up mats, and nobody brings their own, but I did for my team. Then randos kept using my mats without asking permission. One guy (not Mason) even spilled a bunch of powdered food all over them. That was the first guy I kicked off. Later, I...- Lex DeVille

GOLD! OFF-TOPICDeal of the Week Been on the hunt for a crash mat so we can practice Judo throws safely. An 8 inch thick crash mat is $800+ before shipping. Well, yesterday I saw this on marketplace. It's a professional 24 inch thick stunt crash mat sold by a college. These are $2500 to $5000 new, but this...- Lex DeVille

GOLD! OFF-TOPICDeveloping Fighters is Awesome One of my private lesson students is preparing for his first competition. He's new to Jiu Jitsu, so we're working a tight gameplan to give him the best chance possible. When we roll, I take video so I can make notes and feedback for each person. I edited this one...- Lex DeVille

GOLD! OFF-TOPICI've put in less than 100 hours training muay thai and nearly 1,200 hours training jiu jitsu, so I've had more injuries from grappling. But grappling is very unlikely to result in CTE. I've had one bad injury from grappling, and it was a knee dislocation from an opponent's takedown. The thing...- Lex DeVille

GOLD! OFF-TOPICUFC BJJ Open - October 24th/25th I'm officially competing in the UFC BJJ OPENS next month. It's an 8-hour drive to Indianapolis and I'm going solo. GOLD! OFF-TOPICAGF OKC - 9/12/26 - 9/13/26 This weekend was a large, two-day tournament, and it was such an awesome time! It was the first time others competed under the CJAJJ name. It was also the first time my whole family has competed together at the same tournament. This tournament challenged me in ways I...- Lex DeVille
