Time to escape the rat race!

    INTRO
Hello, fellow Melbournian. Maybe we should revive the Melbourne, AUS Meetup? Anyway -- do you have an idea for what kind of business you want to go into? e-Commerce? SaaS? P.S: You should really read 'The Millionaire Fastlane' -- it'll give you a heap of insight into 'Fastlane' mentality.

I just turned 60 years old and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.

    INTRO
Better late than never -- I wish my Dad had your mindset. He's too comfortable working as an employee over the years, he's 62 this year.

    We provide excellent CUSTOMER disSERVICE!

    HOT! PEOPLE
It's outsourced -- I hate to tell you, but this is generally how it always is, my ISP, my phone service provider -- they all outsource to India. The Same formula to Customer Service. I've had to go to the ombudsman several times and you know what -- things actually get done because they put me...

How have they not placed such emphasis on their Customer Service already? I'm not loyal to Apple because of they have superior products (they don't) -- I use Apple because of their Customer Service. If I have a problem, I can arrange an appointment to get it fixed within the day. You gain...

    2k/month before I finish school

    EXECUTION
Seriously, good work on building a foundation for yourself. I dabbled in Internet Marketing too for a bit, I personally found it was a dangerous area (especially BH). So which areas would you like to get in? Maybe you could even use those funds to fund a new venture -- if your current living...

Just got my first freelancing gig!

    MARKETING
@NickDecent I'm sorry for my first post. I didn't mean for it to be harsh -- but I can see exactly where you are coming from now. It reminds me of myself back in 2014 when I was doing Internet Marketing -- I spent maybe $300 on sites, software and what have you, after 2-3 months I made my first...

Myself, Nor the Forum Is Responsible... (Required Reading)

    IMPORTANT!
Haha seriously, I wasn't doubting that it needs to be said. But common sense (unless you're 15 and inexperienced) would tell you not to trust random people on the Internet. It's just a shame that there are people here (who I deem smart) need to hear this shit regularly. PEOPLE!!! IF IT LOOKS...

I can't believe most of this needs to be said. Act responsibly. Act smart. People are too busy to be looking after you. So look after yourself.

Just got my first freelancing gig!

    MARKETING
Yeah look, that's my bad. I mistakenly posted from my perspective, my personal experience - I got one job on Freelancer and got $25 CAD, it took me like 8-10 hours and I came out of it thinking it was a horrible experience and well and truly not worth the time/money.

    EXECUTION
Seems very interesting. I like it. I'd recommend finding these 3-5 young Entrepreneurs and first establish what you'd like to create, plan it and bang out all the paperwork first before going into this house. You don't want to go in there without a plan, potentially wasting 1-2 months that...

    Like riding a bike

    MINDSET
I think he meant that you first need the idea of a potential business (the bike/tool). I mean sure, you could ride this old broken bike -- but you're bound to fall off and scrape a knee or two in the process. But if you do a bit of research -- you could find a bike that'll last you a lifetime...

    Business: Do's and Dont's

See -- this is what I wanted. I wanted everyone to give their own do's and don't's. These are my personal ones, those are yours! What works for you might not work for me, vice versa. That's a great story though, thank you for sharing that. I guess the story (long story short) would be don't...
