[AMA] Importing & wholesaling for resale on eBay.

    GOLD! SOURCING
Since the last time I posted a few things have happened. I purchased terapeak, researched the living sh*t out of around 80 products (took hours and hours and days..sucked - but you gotta do what you gotta do), finally settled on one of the products that looked good and searched for a supplier...

I've made about 300 dollars since my last post just from selling random crap around the house. I also went ahead and purchased that Startup Bro's course on importing (about 500 bucks) and in doing so won a free Go-Pro Hero 3. None of this would've happened had I not stumbled upon this thread...

Totally agree! Careful with that @NaPal (and anyone else who reads this)! For the most part everybody on this forum is a standup person.. but there was an instance a few months ago when vigilante(?) I believe had his soap product completely ripped off by someone on the forum. When it's your...

EDIT: I just looked at the transaction on eBay and my receipt.. turns out that I was supposed to send it via Standard Shipping (USPS First Class Package®).... I moseyed right into the post office and confidently said " Hey There! I need an envelop for priority shipping!" Lmao - DOH!

I figured I'd get my feet wet on eBay's platform by just selling some random stuff lying around. I threw a first generation kindle case up on there for 5 bucks and ebay estimated that priority shipping was going to be 3.40. Awesome. Well someone bought it and today I went to the Post Office...

Hey Ecom man, You may have already answered these questions (I'm on page 5 of 30.. so I got some more digging to do) but I figured I'd go ahead and ask you anyway.. First..What are the hidden costs of importing from China? For instance, maybe you found a product that you think has a great...

It seems a little daunting at first, I know. But once you do it you realize it's actually pretty simple..AND as an added bonus of being a person behind a keyboard it makes negotiating less intimidating.

All that you need to do is get the main idea across. Some people will come to you with offers and then you can get into the nitty and gritty about what you really want them to write about. I usually take a few day to interview and finally choose the writer that I want, going through about 3...

What I'm getting at is YES eBooks are still profitable with the right niche but chances are that in order to be making passive income in the 1000's of dollars every month you need about 100 books up for sale. Some will be homeruns, others will be a waste but it'll all average out.

I haven't put out a book in a while simply because I'm focused on other things at the moment, but the books that I have out do indeed generate passive income for me (in the 100's of dollars) every month. I have 4 cooking related books which as I said do generate income but I believe that...

    Hiring an ebook writer

    PUBLISHING
I've done this a few times - the above posts should definitely lead you in the right direction. Always set a fixed price. Never hire anyone who hasn't done a lot of projects Never hire anyone with a bad rating Cheaper doesn't always mean low quality - On the internet writers are competing...

    Hiring a Ghost Writer

Ohhhh ok, I thought that you were saying you were planning on writing the book which would have made hiring a ghost writer unnecessary haha. Like I said, you can definitely find someone on eLance or oDesk. Just make sure you do you research on how to hire writers (as in negotiating tactics to...

Business Math - May be boring to some, but it makes sense to know.

Hey guys, I've spent a lot of time getting decent at sales, networking, outsourcing and many other things that (I would hope) are going to help me on my entrepreneurial journey. One thing that I haven't spent much time on is understanding how to use and when to use business math. For...

    Hiring a Ghost Writer

Hey Carrie, I've used a ghost writer before to write me an eBook that I now make OK money on. What do you think you would need one for?? If you're already writing the book there doesn't seem to be much purpose in hiring a ghost writer. Either way, Elance and Odesk can help you find one if...

    eBook Ads?

    WEB/DIGITAL
This may be the wrong section to post this...and if it is, my apologies. I have recently tried out a new technique (for me) of picking profitable eBook niches and writing/hiring someone to write a small book about the said niche. I have made some money passively from a single eBook I put out a...
