Attention Has a Price — So Why Isn’t Anyone Pricing It?
MARKETINGWriters like George Orwell and Ernest Hemingway wrote their rules for writing. 6 for Orwell and 4 for Hemingway. Very simple. Is there any way you can get the AI thing you use to run your first draft outputs through something that can re-write based on one of their sets of rules? Having read...- Stargazer

HBF – Home Building Factory from plantation timber [Progress thread]
SCALING EXECUTION FEEDBACKGovernment implemented a new piece of legislation this year to prevent Local Authorities from blocking large scale infrastructure and housing projects. Also to stop the large national building companies from landbanking (ie buying land and not doing anything with it to stop smaller companies...- Stargazer

HBF – Home Building Factory from plantation timber [Progress thread]
SCALING EXECUTION FEEDBACKHi Valery I'm not exactly answering your question as not my area, but UK is the second largest importer of timber in the world and it is coming mainly from three European countries. Sweden, Finland and Latvia. In contrast to most of Europe our populaton is, and will continue to rise hence the...- Stargazer

Weekly Meetup Accountability Call Megathread
HOT! MEETUPSWell done. Presuming you are just calling from a phone try a headset and standing up. There's a reason singers are standing and breathing from the diaphragm. Resonance and projection. You can test this in 10 seconds. Sit down and feel the air in your lungs then stand up and do the same. More...- Stargazer

If you do everything, you do nothing
MINDSETThat's certainly true of me. When I look for some sort of service I always click on 'Services' tab if there is one, and if I see a wall of things I click off that website. This is more so for smaller 5 or fewer employee type of companies. So especially one man bands. Makes me suspicious of...- Stargazer

Thoughts on this handwriting postcard for local services
MARKETINGI have been getting this every month for years. Even when I moved house. Didn't even realise it was a national company for ages either. The company that does it has been going since 2010 and it's clearly working otherwise they wouldn't bother. I have never seen any other company doing this for...- Stargazer

I'm going to wash windows for money tomorrow for the first time in my life. Any tips?
HOT! SIDE HUSTLECall up some local decent independent window cleaner, maybe someone who is keen and just starting out like you were once, and either sell them your customers for a nominal fee or if you just want some peace of mind and it's not a large round then just offer them the rouund. Say you will go round...- Stargazer

Pounding the streets for a Foundation Job
HOT! SIDE HUSTLE EXECUTIONUnless you have a history of crashing cars, insurance won't be as much as you think. If you can't be arsed with the rigamorale of searching online and filling in all those forms to get a quote, just walk into somewhere like A Plan and let them find you something even if it costs you a bit in...- Stargazer

Users db: Time vs Control
SAAS / APPSI have no idea what you are talking about by the way so take this with a pinch of salt, but I'm not sure I would classify a week as a time problem to have something you are happy with that you control. Other than that @nikola314 suggestion seems reasonable doesn't it as a stop gap? Dan- Stargazer

Helping Engineers pass their professional exams (but this time I'm actually making sales)
SAAS / APPS EXECUTION FEEDBACKI might be wrong here, bear in mind my location, but would this be the sort of thing I was alluding to? https://account.ncees.org/exam-prep?_gl=1*bs1qli*_ga*MTQyNjA1Mzc0OS4xNzYzMDY4NzUz*_ga_B03XZ4F5W7*czE3NjMwNjg3NTIkbzEkZzEkdDE3NjMwNjg5NTEkajIyJGwwJGgw Which I got from this page as you...- Stargazer

Helping Engineers pass their professional exams (but this time I'm actually making sales)
SAAS / APPS EXECUTION FEEDBACKI don't know if this is helpful, but in the UK 16 year olds do exams and I used to direct them to a maths website that simply had past papers from the exam boards. I'm going to take a wild guess the FE thing you are talking about doesn't change much from year to year either. ie Content is the...- Stargazer

Neb, UK, originally South Europe
INTROHi Neb I don't know if this is some American jargon, but if you told a business in the UK you are a Systemologist it would mean nothing. Whatever you're offering to a business should be crystal clear. Who is your ideal market, what it is that you do, what benefit that offering can do for their...- Stargazer

Freelance optician
- AI -No you don't need to code. Which industry is in decline? Opticians as per your thread title or yoga as per your actual post? The former certainly isn't in an aging world and I doubt yoga will suddenly cease to exist after 3000 odd years. Dan- Stargazer

AI Is Changing Everything—Does Digital Marketing Still Have a Future?
SIDE HUSTLEAI is digital, therefore marketing in a way that takes that into account would be a good idea. They're not mutually exclusive. My cousin has paid subscriptions to these things and when he went on a work conference in August, the Agent did everything for him. Booked flights and hotels and...- Stargazer

HOT! INTROIf you now tell yourself that you are: 1) In the Logistics business (you're simply moving something from a to b) 2) Milton Keynes is a major logistics hub in the UK (MK to Lutterworth 30 miles up the M1 from you being the largest) 3) It's a £170 billion sector to the UK and will be £200...- Stargazer

Big Fish in a Small Pond or Small Fish in a Big One? What Builds You Faster?
HOT! INTROOut of interest, in which sector is the company you are working for in, and which town is it located in? If it was a curtain pole factory in Scunthorpe then I too would move. If it's Biotech in Oxford then no need to move. I have to say I would rather be positioned in a company in a growing...- Stargazer

Deaf market feasibility as a first time entrepreneur?

How do I connect the dots? - Wanting to make a change in my industry
IDEAI don't have any real thoughts so my apologies, this is just waffle. :) I can't imagine any coach driver in the UK not knowing where they will be parking or picking up/dropping people off. I also can't imagine the driver doing anything other than the driving. The tour company is the one who...- Stargazer
