Why you should not tell anyone what your doing

    MINDSET
One question that comes to my mind, though, is whether visualizing a goal helps or hinders someone from reaching his/her goals. I heard stories from both camps that seem convincing. That said, I've reached goals in the past without visualizing... formally, that is. Come to think of it, even...

Where to Host a Comment-Free Word Press Blog

    WEB/DIGITAL
I have a blog and I always welcome and respond to most comments. I'm using wordpress too. In fact it's the one hosted in the wordpress.com site and it's spam filter makes a good job of filtering spam comments. In my opinion I will most likely read and share a blog post that has comments because...

Can someone recommend some good Text to Speech software please?

    WEB/DIGITAL
I dunno but if I would be listening to an audio book I like it to be spoken by a real person. Why? Because a real person has a personality. You can sense how he or she is feels while reading the book. Even though a good text-to-speech program sounds like a real-human it's still not a real...

    How much should I charge?

Most probably what he means are those 3-5 minute videos explaining what your start-up is all about. I'm curious for the answer in case someone else has paid for one of those.

    StartUpBros Importing Seminar notes

    SOURCING
I'll admit it. I subscribed because of the naming similarity to Mario Bros. (Startup Bros.) It would be cool to find the princess in the first castle, though. Or maybe I'll just take the inter-level pipe shortcut :)

What's your biggest mental barrier holding you back?

    HOT! MINDSET
My biggest mental barrier is thinking I have a mental barrier holding me back. If I acknowledge it, then it exists, if I don't, then it doesn't exist.

    Any ADD/ADHD Entrepreneurs in here?

    HOT!
I ain't a practicing entrepreneur yet, but I seem to exhibit traits that they describe as "ADD/ADHD." What I don't like is that how the final D's of those acronyms are labeled as "Disorder." Really? What if in another time those traits were useful, like in hunter gathering societies where people...

This really made me think. Richest poor guy I've ever met

    PEOPLE
Or perhaps the solution is to be more friendly to strangers? Just like what the article below states: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/26/opinion/sunday/hello-stranger.html?_r=0 The closing paragraph from that article:

What both of you written gave me a sentimental feeling. So here's a video to show how I feel about people's lives: The song starts out kind of sad, but around the 2:30 mark there was a sudden reversal of energy — a positive, happy one. That's what I like about the song.

    Stop being so obstinate

    MINDSET
Yeah. What MJ wrote is one way of viewing the world (a realistic one). The reason I'm here at the forum even though I haven't transitioned to the fastlane lifestyle yet is to keep the dream alive. In other words, to keep reminding myself that there is this alternate way of life — a better one...

Work Hard You'll Get There Eventually (hint: no you won't)

FYI: I just copied and pasted the title from the post itself, it ain't my writing. :) http://blogs.msdn.com/b/jw_on_tech/archive/2013/11/26/work-hard-you-ll-get-there-eventually-hint-no-you-won-t.aspx It was written by someone from the tech field who realizes that the old way of doing things...

Why it's easier to become a millionaire in our country...

Thanks for all of your replies. The reason I brought this up is most people (including me) can't help but to think in specific or at least approximate numbers. For example, if I a person reaches her goal of earning $8 million pesos. In our country she can be called a 'multi-millionaire' already...

Why it's easier to become a millionaire in our country...

Most people want to be a millionaire. But right now I would like to bring up something not often talked about... The inherent value of a country's currency. For example, I live in the Philippines. Currently, to become a millionaire here (in pesos) you only need the equivalent of $22,500...

    Strange little rant I found...

    MINDSET
Nope. I'm not saying that it is wrong to disagree with him. What I'm getting at is the consequences of whatever beliefs we may hold. I didn't say it directly, but the consequences of being poor is far from likable.

    Strange little rant I found...

    MINDSET
It's okay to be broke... and it's also okay to rich... respect other people's beliefs as long as they respect yours, too. But let us remind ourselves... our beliefs have consequences. If you ask me, I would rather believe that being rich is good... really good... because I like the consequences :)
