    Comedy + Fastlane =?

One interesting thing about comedy is the instant feedback. You often hear musicians or actors talking about a big break, and while it still exists to some extent in comedy, it certainly seems to be a lesser degree. You either go up on stage one night and make people laugh (success) or you...

Why I'm Dropping Out Of College

    EXECUTION
Nothing wrong with Ebay, I still use it. But Amazon == more traffic == more sales. There's really no reason not to use both.

Why I'm Dropping Out Of College

    EXECUTION
You need to get on Amazon yesterday. My sales went up (both in volume and in price sold) after switching. Ebay is a nice supplement, but it's really only a superior selling platform for more "individual" items. If it's mass produced, has a bar code, etc. then Amazon rocks. I second MJ's...

Why I'm Dropping Out Of College

    EXECUTION
If I can offer one piece of advice--big jolts of motivation (like the kick you seem to be on atm, right now this very second) won't help. The pictures of cars and dream homes and all of that is nice, but the daily grind is where all of that comes from. Learning to love the grind is where it's...

$1B+ Powerball Jackpot - Did You Buy Your Ticket?

    FUNNY
Not participating in the Powerball is one of those meaningless things that I have way too much pride in. I've never played once. We used to have a pool like that at one of my jobs. I was always the no-fun guy. Whenever all of the employees pooled together I remember stopping at Mcdonalds or...

Redditors who are rich (net worth $1 million+) - how did you get

    EXECUTION
You realize this is a thread from 2012 right? And the guy you are attempting to converse with has been gone for years.

    Ebay Warriors

I don't really understand how "ebay" can kill this guy's brand. If all you are doing is importing a product from China and then reselling it, I can see how saturation would ruin profit margins. But if you truly have your own brand, and are a distinguished seller, people should still want to...

    Ebay Warriors

This. Basically if what you are selling can already be found in every Walmart in the country, then you probably want to reconsider. If it's in every Walmart, then you can assume there are 10,000 people online selling the same exact product.

    Ebay Warriors

Are you me? I feel like I could have pulled any sentence out of this post and it's something I'd say. Holy shit you're in PA too--the used-auto-parts competition is fierce! :wtf:

    Internet addiction

    MINDSET
I just use StayFocusd, the Chrome extension. You pick your blocked sites, and set your daily time limit. I allow myself 25 minutes a day to browse "garbage" sites like Reddit or Autotrader or Jalopnik.

Why "Goal is to make 1k a week" Is The Wrong Approach.

    MINDSET RANT
I edited the word teenager into the post. At first I used a more offensive word but it's Christmas and I didn't feel like being a dick. All he did was respond to the thread you started and the points you raised in your OP. This isn't your personal blog, it's a discussion forum where people...

Why "Goal is to make 1k a week" Is The Wrong Approach.

    MINDSET RANT
So... your initial reply to csalvato was just you being a sarcastic teenager that's afraid of any criticism? The fact of the matter is that a company can focus on sales/profits/hitting numbers AND also provide value to customers. You seem to think that the two are mutually exclusive. The...

How much does a Lamborghini really cost?

    GOLD!
All I can think after reading that is.... when's this damn book gonna be finished?

Set me straight on my car purchase

    MINDSET
I agree with the overall message of your post, except for this example. An '02 Jaguar (aka, a rebadged Ford with no desirable collectors market) shares little in common with with an '08 Vantage other than both having British heritage. A 2008 Aston Martin selling for $40k (this is according to...

What are your yearly reading Habits?

I read about 3 books per month, but would like to read more. There are about 200 books on my to-read list on Amazon. The average American spends 4-5 hours a day watching TV, and only 19 minutes a day reading. I find that pretty pathetic.
