    Thoughts on Private Equity?

    SAAS / APPS QUESTION
Taking investment money isn't necessarily bad or good, just depends on your goals and if it's a fit. That said, taking on investor money means you likely lose control of your company and dilute ownership. They'll likely want an exit so they get a return on their investment. Not always, there...

I launched a QR menu website, but people are not buying it. I need help

    INVESTING
Maybe there are places where this works and is bought -- I think you said it all within your post though and IMO from an objective viewpoint you've made the classic mistake of building something and then assuming that people will want to buy it. You've already talked to folks and gotten...

Mandatory information sources for entrepreneurs ?

I don't really think there is much to keep up on that's applicable to "all entrepreneurs" unless you are running a huge multi-national company that is effected by policy, sanctions, etc. I'd find news sites or communities, forums, etc related to your specific niche.

    Thoughts on Trends.co?

Same as the hustle. (recently acquired by hubspot) My First Million podcast is pretty awesome too.

    Thoughts on Trends.co?

I subscribe to this and I love it. I use the community more than trends.co (the trends analysis piece). Not sure how $299 is opaque, seems pretty clear to me. If I go to the analysis part, I don't really think there's a lot of competition...the latest items I see on their signals section is...

    Attitudes on Products and capitalism

    MINDSET
Something I've been thinking about lately... I think my attitudes have changed a lot towards products and how companies operate. For example, a friend and I have been looking at the OneWheel -- which is basically an electric skateboard (but with a single, big tire). They are pricey! 1k for...

Should I invest my time in game development ?

Doesn't sound like you really have a clear direction on what you want to do. I'd go study the path that some indie devs took that made it and see if the work they put in is really worth it. It might be an interested endeavor but I think if you want to make some $ you are going to have a...

I'm an idea retard, how to alleviate the problem?

    IDEA
Not a fan of the language... Do more reps. Have more ideas. Try having 10 ideas a day (on whatever, business ideas if you'd like). Focus on getting ideas out, rather than getting good ideas out. Soon, you can start to filter them.

Facebook Groups? (How To Build A Successful One?)

    MARKETING
This thread is a bit old but I thought I'd offer some input as the admin of a few groups comprised of ~80k or so people total. Yes, groups can be effective. Yes, they are a lot of work and YES they can take a long time to build and compound unless you get some crazy growth by riding a trend or...

Is it legal to list out non existent employees?

I'm not sure if it's illegal but it's definitely unethical

Roast my Productized Sponsor Outreach service

What if newsletter creators could have sponsors come right to them? A few years ago, I created a few Facebook groups and newsletters. I loved operating them. They grew in size and over time, I was approached by companies who wanted to PAY ME to reach the community members. I graciously...

Leverage - An Army Of Robots to Do Your Bidding

    MINDSET
You don't have to make it big to change your life. You "only" need 100-200k in annual revenue to do whatever you want. Sounds like a lot, it isn't.

Leverage - An Army Of Robots to Do Your Bidding

    MINDSET
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. No, it is not easy to do marketing, dev, product dev, etc. And yes, eventually it may make sense to bring someone on (or multiple people). But, if you can't identify opportunities for a solo-preneur, I guess that is on you.

Leverage - An Army Of Robots to Do Your Bidding

    MINDSET
I should add a bit of clarification since these are Navel's thoughts, not mine. I do think capital can provide leverage in the form of interest or other ways (buying real estate at 20% down) I do agree business is a skill but Navel goes on about actually business being composed of game theory...

Leverage - An Army Of Robots to Do Your Bidding

    MINDSET
I respectfully disagree. It may look that way but there are untapped veins of gold in niche businesses. Big companies can't move as quick and won't bother to compete with companies that are flying under the radar. Multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars aren't worth it to them, but...
