    I am mentoring a couple of people who are interested in real estate investing. It takes a lot to groom someone the right way. You as a student can't bring any baggage you must come with an empty plate and a "healthy" appitite with a "willingness" to learn.

    I would suggest that you learn to "leverage" your time/$. A few private grants can get you started but more importantly a MENTOR is needed. Someone who can show you the pot holes in the road. Speak with other Brokers; not just 1 or 2 but a vast number of them (Preferrably not in your area)...
