    US Map: Economic Stress

    My initial thought when looking at the map is "rural farming." It is that way for sure in Eastern MT, the Dakotas, Wyoming. Farming families don't tend to be impacted by a lot of economic changes. Life didn't change drastically for them in the last 10 years, and it won't in the next 10.
