I quit my job!... but I still need a lot more growth.

I added an exit-intent popup too, I've pretty much gone for the kill on it, not taking emails, just offering a 33% discount code off the bat. Is that a good strategy? And what kind of wording should I be looking for? I called the CTA "Save now" rather than "buy now" as I thought that would...

I quit my job!... but I still need a lot more growth.

I could be wrong here, but my interpretation is more to use it as a guide for tone, and to bring ideas about the business strengths to the forefront so that the copy you write is more focused. On that note, What is a better word choice for a child aged around 14-16 who is studying? Students...

I quit my job!... but I still need a lot more growth.

So, I've made a few tweaks to the home page today, I think it's looking better, and I've played around with some of the copy, trying to tweak it and refine it a little more,I think it's getting there. I've also re-worked the information for students page, I still need to look at the pages for...

Yeah, thats a fair point, although the purple is only used for a small section. I have Biology in green, chemistry in blue and Physics in red. The purple is used for the "scientific literacy" stuff. The general site colour is a shade of blue, which I think is pretty neutral.

I quit my job!... but I still need a lot more growth.

Once again a huge thank you, certainly a lot of ideas again for me to work on. I don't think it's actually anything huge that needs changing, but a lot of tweaks can change something from OK to great. Making things more focused on meeting pain points. I know I should be doing these things, but...

Awesome, thanks, You inspired me to change my priorities a bit too. I wrote about 6000 words last night for one of my revision guides. Still have a bit more to do then format it, and then re-check it and optimise for SEO. But it really stuck in my head and I'm paraphrasing here, "Imagine if...

Oh and I'd love help, I'm more than happy for it being on here, best way for me to learn and hopefully give something back!

So a slightly more thorough reply.. Thanks, for the feedback, it is really helpful. I've asked in specific "web design" forums and all I get is "Wow... looks awesome" which is of no help at all, I'd much rather honest criticism, so thanks! Quick Fixes I've made the suggested changes to the...

Wow, thanks, so many awesome tips and ideas there Hassan, a lot to digest, I'll respond properly when I've had a chance to really take in what you've said, but thank you, there are loads of actionable things there

I quit my job!... but I still need a lot more growth.

Thanks, I have definitely thought about doing IB courses and A-level, although not specific SAT courses. But the others are on the roadmap, I just need to get the physics finished first, hopefully by mid-December. At which point I intend on approaching schools directly, to sell bulk licenses...

Wow, it's been a long time since the last time I posted here. I guess I've just been getting on with developing my business. Well, over the last two weeks I am now officially self-employed. Exciting, and fairly scary too. I run an online science course provider aimed at younger learners. My...

    The Greatest Feeling Ever!

    EXECUTION
Thanks, 18 months does seem like such a long time, I knew it would take a while, but I didn't think it would take that "long". I probably could have done a subpar job and had it ready in a year. But although I might have been making money earlier, I don't think I would be giving real value back...

    The Greatest Feeling Ever!

    EXECUTION
Wow, I have no words to describe how I am feeling right now. Maybe I am feeling far more jubilation that I should be, but wow. My product (an online science course) has taken me about 18 months to set up. To actually get the course in a position where I can sell it (on my own website, not...

Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
I teach science in an international school. The kids are mostly Spanish but are learning in English.

Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
When we first moved here I knew a few basic phrases and words, but had next to no grammar. My Spanish is now passable. I can communicate is shops and have basic conversations with people. I do struggle with some of the tenses and it's not helped that a lot of people here talk Valenciano to be...
