Looking for Strategic Direction on a SaaS I've Built. Scale, Partner, or Exit?

    - AI -
I like your SaaS! This mindset needs to change. Being a builder is a commodity nowadays. Anyone can build. AND You don't need to be a marketer to market and sell. 1. No don't do that unless people ask for things 2. Are people asking you for that? if not. hold off. The answer isn't more AI...

A cool example of how MJ's video on asymmetric risk just got me to think twice about what felt like a good chance in the moment, bad choice long-term

    MINDSET
oooh I can relate to that, but from the kids perspective. When I was young, maybe 6, we were headed out to see fireworks to celebrate the 4th of July. My dad cut some guy off by accident. The driver went nuts and drove up real close to the bumper, almost slammed into us but didn't. For some...

A cool example of how MJ's video on asymmetric risk just got me to think twice about what felt like a good chance in the moment, bad choice long-term

    MINDSET
Completely agree. It’s also mind blowing to me how easy it is to make that wrong decision, even as a petty level headed person. It just takes one bad moment to ruin a lifetime of good decisions and put everything at risk.

A cool example of how MJ's video on asymmetric risk just got me to think twice about what felt like a good chance in the moment, bad choice long-term

    MINDSET
I had an interesting experience today that reinforced one of MJ’s recent videos about asymmetric risk. I was vacuuming out my car while listening to his video, and the idea stuck with me more than I realized. Quick backstory: I’m trying to get out of a car lease because it no longer makes...

Content Marketing vs. Ads: Which Should You Prioritize for Your Business?

    MARKETING
I've been on the ads and content side of a SaaS biz. Plus have my own bootstrapped SaaS where I've tried both. It depends on the industry + unit economics of the business. For example: Enterprise SaaS with a long sales cycle probably needs content marketing, with an ABM approach (ads...

How to Launch a Million-Dollar Business this Weekend w/Noah Kagan

    GOLD! HOT! AMA
Hey @noahkagan, not sure how I missed this! I could probably ask dozens of questions but idk where to start, and I know you're busy with a massive business and eating tacos. So I'll just say thanks and state it publicly that you had a big impact on my life at just the right time. I launched...

Where to sell a profitable SaaS?

    SAAS / APPS
Hey, I'm in SaaS - have my own and work for a pretty big SaaS in the AI space by day across three brands, one you've probably heard of. So I know this space very well. I think I found your product and I thought it was pretty cool to be honest. The biggest challenge that I think your app has...

If You Work Remote at a Job, Listen To This Advice.

    HOT! IDEA
This is an interesting topic. I built my business to over $10K/mo (got a progress thread on the inside) while employed, here's my take: - I did it before work. 5am - 7/8am. Almost Everyday. and weekends. I rarely did things during the day while employed. I'm not perfect though. Sometimes I...

What am I looking for? Accountant? CPA? Finance person?

    TAXES | REGS
Makes sense and thanks for your insights. I think 2024 is going to be the more complex year for me and 2023 taxes should be pretty easy for the most part. I just have no desire or time to do it myself. Even if it's just a few hours of filling in an SOP. I'd rather just pay someone to do all the...

What am I looking for? Accountant? CPA? Finance person?

    TAXES | REGS
Thanks @Bounce Back and @Beerbread! That makes sense. I setup Quickbooks online and have been paying for it for about 2 years but ran into a ton of issue with things syncing up properly and it's a mess. Sounds like I just need to pay someone to go in and spend a couple of hrs cleaning it up. On...

    TAXES | REGS
I'm not so great with finances and tax and I'm curious if anyone here can point me in the right direction of what I need here. As we head into this next tax season I want to finally get my finances under control. My situation looks like this: - Full time job in the six figure range - My own...

Business models: which ones are best?

    IDEA
So not true for SaaS. Yes when you nail product-market fit it becomes a bit easier, but it's not just about dumping money on the fire. There TONS of factors that go into this. One simple example — let's say you're an enterprise SaaS with an average contract value of $20k-$100K — good luck...

Just launched my B2B SaaS Product

    MARKETING SAAS / APPS EXECUTION
Congrats on your launch. I have my own B2B SaaS as well. It’s a ton of fun. Hard but fun. Now here’s my biggest piece of advice. By day I work in the AI space for a company you’ve probably heard of that I cannot name. So I have data and insights into what’s working and where the...

I sold my AI tool for $35,000 (Reddit Post)

    WEB/DIGITAL
Yeah I’ve actually fired customers haha 100% - I’d go annual. If someone doesn’t want to pay more than once for something that you built, maintain, and pay to host then they aren’t worth having as customers. If you feel like there’s not enough value to justify recurring payments then just...
