it been some time since i 1st say hallo, so here is a little update wat i did the last weeks:

• I’ve read several blog entry’s about entrepreneurship
• I’ve decided to first test out the app business and learn how the android market work
• 2 Weeks ago i had not an idea how programming for android works, today I`ve released the beta version of my first app (not at the market but for testing from contacts. Nothing fancy, just a small funapp)
• With this app I want to learn more about the market
• I will read the book „How to Build an App Empire“
• I’ve started a blog for my personal development mostly for me, secondly for interested people who want to download stuff that i will create
• After reading „How to Build an App Empire“ and some more research plus knowing how my app develops at the market I will decide if this is he right thing for me. If so, great! If not, I will learn about other possibility’s (I think 3-6 month from now)

Hey all,
Today is " Day of German Unity"! A day of freedom!

So just with this spirit I used the day to do something for my own freedom and to help others! I’ve created a small jet simple app that can help English speaking people to learn German and break down barriers!

The App is a simple Soundboard:
You see English Text and when you click a button the text is shown in German and read to you.

I know, this is nothing watt’s going to make me rich, I think it even will earn me no money with this app, again it’s just to research the android app market.

After my app in German language I needed an English speaking app and here it is

If you have to spare 10minutes and got an android device I can use your help!
I search for some beta testers!

It’s just an early beta and there are only 136 phrases but it is a beginning.
What I want to know:
- Would you use such an app?
- How do you like the navigation? Is it simple enough?
- What features would you wish for?
- Do you like my reading or do you prefer it slower / faster?

Keep in mind it should stay a very basic app with limited functionality...
I don’t think something can happen but just for the fairness: Please keep in mind that “use is at your own risk”.

Whats next?
Right at the moment I learn much about game development and which options of multiplatform publishing exists. My next goal is to rapid develop a simple game and publish it to Android and Web + iOS if I can spare the 100$. To accomplish this, I’ve team up with another fastlaner who is skilled in design and art.

What else happened?

I`ve set up the mail and DNS for bytecrunch.org
I`ve read a few pages in “app empire”
I`ve refreshed a learned lesson: “If you search for a way you will find one!”

Hey Folks,

I know, it’s been long since I last wrote a line here, but there where good reasons...

Just after completing my first 2 apps i switchet the business sector. There was a good opportunity to work with 2 other very motivated individuals on an e-sport project. To make a long story short, it failed.
Lesson learned:

1) If you war with other people on a project share access to everything with every one of the founders. Never let only one person have full control over some part.

2) If a project fails you grow anyway! You learn something and get new contacts! New people and new opportunity’s come to your life! As long as you move, doors will open and opportunities will rise.

To make it just a little harder, I got ill and couldn’t work at all for round about 4 weeks.

But there are many opportunities out there and standing still is not an option.
While I am still recovering my Partner and I work on a new project.

We want to create a healthy supplement with natural vitamins and things are going well so far

Disclaimer:
This is mainly a thread for myself, to remind me and keep track of my progress. I hope it inspires you, if you are new to the fast lane and shows what is possible.

Some Thoughts
Yesterday evening I was a little unsatisfied with myself. I thought about what I have accomplished so far and what I have tried. And I came to the conclusion that I already switched lanes! I am now on the slow lane, anybody wants to say welcome?

I know things need time, the mind needs time to change and old unproductive behavior must be replaced by new positive productive behaviors! Unfortunately that doesn’t happen from alone.
So what have I accomplished?

Loan
When I read MJ`s Book I was round about 5000€ in debt. Just a credit for a lifestyle I couldn’t afford.
If I continued to paid this debt of at the normal rate it had took me round about 43 month!
My actual debt is 2250€. I managed nearly half of this burden in a very short period of time! And that’s something I am really proud of! And on top of this I have round about 650€ in Silver! So there are theoretically only 1700€ left.

So how did I do this you ask?

Quit smoking
safe me round about 500€

Don’t buy food / drinks on work
Safe me round about 200€

Some Work by the side

Don`t bought stuff I don’t need

Only use the car when I really needed it

Cut expenses for free time (e.g. cinema, clubs, party’s)

If everything goes right I am debt free in a another 6-7 Month

So I will get some freedom back in about 12 Month rather than in 43 Month!

After getting aware of this my mood raised instantly!

So what else have I accomplished?
I’ve become slightly better in English talking mainly to English speaking persons and reading much of English posts and books.
I’ve got a first insight of how businesses work.
I’ve found a great reliable and motivated partner to work with (or he found me).
I’ve made my first 2 attempts to build a business, failed miserably and learned.
I’ve made some new contacts. Not the great ones but some!

And what’s next?
As I mentioned before, when winter is over I will sell my car, keeping only my very cheap motorcycle which will save me at least another 1500€ (maybe up to 3000 with repairs). And right now we are working on our food supplement. This is just the next step. Getting from the sidewalk to the slowlane was really easy with the help on MJ`s Book. It didn’t take much and anyway it’s still more than the people in my surrounding handled in this time. Once again I outperform the majority and that’s wye I know I will make it someday to the kind of fast lane at least !

Random thoughts update!
The business model will not succeed, long life he business model!

Right now I / we are switching from idea evaluation to idea evaluation. Munch thought are flowing down the river ^^.

Sometimes it feels like we are searching in se absolute dark for a spark of light… like there is no progress at all. But on the other side there is more progress than ever in my business life. We evaluate idea after idea only to find out that the spot is already taken, that there will be no benefits for other people if we just make the same thing again what 100 other did. So we continue searching for the right niche, the right spot to “bed on” . Fortunately as more as I busy myself with entrepreneurship the easier it gets to find ideas! The evaluation processes are shorter from time to time and I am sure that we are on the right way.

So what’s actually up?
We tried to import some ideas from America to Germany… Wye not use a already proven and healthy business model? So far there just was nothing worth the effort or enough people tried it already. Fortunate we have some more concepts which are we want to evaluate.

We put the whole health supplement thing by the side because of lack of commitment of our 3.rd partner. We still want to make it, and we gathered some very good information about the process, but right now it might be a “little complicated” and out of reach for our budget to make this happen (especially for Germany). There are many more promising thinks out there right now …

I’ve challenged myself to read AT LEAST 6 Books which helps me building a business this year. My target is to read 10 Books

Loan
Things are going well with the payoff. I’ve just heard today that my bank has a great offer: I can pay the whole loan back, without any cost! I don’t even have to pay a penalty for missing interest!
Unfortunately I am short 1500€. So I can only hope the offer is out there for another 3 Month (which would be enough for me to earn the missing money). If I can pay it in 3 moth compared to my normal payoff rate it would save me at least 400€ in interest! Would be a great deal for me

Edit: Think and Grow rich is a great book! If you haven’t read it you should read it! All chapters are important, but for me the last was the most valuable! I’ve realized that I must learn to decide quicker and more precise! That is one thing I have to train!

Right now we are working on an ecommerce store concept. It’s not another shopify, but the direction is nearly the same… too early to say something more right now. With time we are becoming kind of fast finding and evaluating ideas… Plus I learned something about google adwords and that it can very expensive to pay for traffic with google adwords.

From your reading of Think And Grow Rich, did you write down a detailed plan?

Reading is a good pastime; however, you also need to apply what you learn. We can "fact find" forever, especially if we don't have a specific goal. This is called "analysis paralysis". Find your target, then fact-find to fill in your knowledge gaps.

Keep letting us know how it's going!

Yes, I wrote down a detailed plan. But with time you learn and you try things. So I had to alter the plan several times! The framework stays the same, but the content and the details change from time to time. Actually I wrote the first draft directly after reading the relevant chapter!

Unfortunately I have some health problems right now, which really slows down my progress. I have this for several months now and the doctors are saying it will get better with time. There is no medication so I just have to be patient. :/ I do what I can to get well again.

Sorry to hear about your medical concerns. Do you have the ability to work on a computer? If you break down the things you need to do into small tasks, maybe you can focus on 2 hours a day to move your business forward during this time?

Also I understand that plans change based on market feedback. Do you have the ecommerce expertise covered? You'll probably need a programmer with experience in that area. If you are going to do Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), that's very complicated and easy to screw up.

To answer your questions: Yes I can work on the computer problem is i already do that 8h/day on my 9-5... Its exhausting enough but i do what i can to build my business... I make baby steps to getting better and better. from week to week it gets a little better. i think it will take at least another 2-4 month till i am fully recovered. I had to deal with a serous mononucleosis. And for some people it takes much time to get rid of it. unfortunately i am one of those people :/. the good thing is there will be a day it is gone. and than it is gone

Actually i develop a system that offers a e-commerce store on a monthly subscription. please notice that i am not programming it so yea, the programming thing is the thing what it is best covered. At the moment i need article writer and marketing know how... we adapted the plan a bit and will release it in Germany first till it is the least money intense way to do it. Next thing will be the UK and then the US. The company is already setted up in Germany and i have someone who will manage the accounting free of charge in the beginning.

That is indeed another milestone...

I've done it! I've sold my car. Last Friday I sold my beloved car... a 1995 Rover 220 GSI with 136HP...
That was a big step for me... Not the money even if i will make good use of the 850€ I've got for my car (that was a very good price for me since the car needs some repairs for round about 800€, sold to the first person who came to see it... yes i can sale things if i talk to someone in person) But also for my inner growth to let something go. Even if I've loved it i knew it just was holding me back. 80€ insurance /month +80€petrol/month +repairs.
So I've got 850€ instead of spending 800€... I feel a little more free already without this liability

GONE! Without the monthly down payment and without a car have round about 350€ a month for investing / saving or buy stuff to grow my business!

Hey guys, its been a while since my last update here. And this might just be "another entry in the log" Ive accomplished my goal to read at least 6 Books this year! Three to go to my second goal! Life without a car is pretty good lol, i don't have to worry the whole time that it could get broke or stolen and i save a shipload of money! I need round about 2000$ to really start the company i am working on and i am already half way there!


Health
There are some good news! I am finally getting well! The nasty illness which was bothering me for the last 8 month goes away step by step. I can think clearer, and to a little more physical work... it was about time and it will still take amount x of time but i am doing my best! So i am finally kind of back on track and things are gaining some speed again!

What else? I stopped eating meet round about 20days ago, at least for the moment. It just doesn't feel necessary anymore, don't know.
I drink a smoothie every days now with an apple, banana, spinach, carrots and similar stuff... Its something
I still cant do sports, but i try from time to time....

Money
Saving up 2000$ to start my business! (50% Done)
Made round about 3$ fully automated last month from some old you tube videos YAY!

Hey, it’s a long time since I last updated this thread here...
Well I haven’t given up! Here are the news:

Job
Tomorrow is the first day I would normally go to work, but I don’t have to. I am "free", i am working for no one but myself. Finally. Down side: In about 3 month my regular income will drop to 65% of what i have earned before... But still this will be enough to live and i have 3 month of passive income... Made a deal with my old boss. NICE!


Health
Since the last update i went through many health checks. No Doctor found anything. So i guessed i just have to stay hard and let it go away... it only needs time. And it goes away! Still very slowly but at this point i can finally do basic sports again, at least for some minutes a day without getting any symptoms’. The dizziness is gone back to a level where i can do my work nearly normally and i can finally go out again still staying away from booth or unhealthy food.

Business
I’ve set up a company and started selling stuff, you can check it out here: http://etensi.de i also sell on eBay. Sales going very slowly, but at all this project is just to show of what i can do for my clients who want a website

Also i teamed up with @nickR8 working on http://mastermindo.com . Currently it’s heavily under development, but we are making very good progress! Finally it seems that i have found a partner who not just talks but actually gets shit done!

• health got better and better over the month. now at 85%
