The most important business pivot is done before starting.

    IDEA NEWSLETTER
In the past, I overcame this ‘hard work’ issue by doing what I loved. I figured that the only way I would have the ‘juice’ to get the hard done was to make sure I had some passion about it. This worked until it did not work. I believe a key issue was not intelligently looking for the idea...

Great practice, @Cyns I definitely would have made a lot of good hard decisions sooner if I had done this.

One Superpower everyone has, but rarely uses.

    GOLD! NEWSLETTER
This is gold. Hard: starting business; quitting drinking, drugs; going vegan/pescatarian; reading/attending seminars; staying married, working through the hard times... oh and BIG ONE: letting my kid fly solo and suffer consequences from his decisions. Easy: Netflix, Fortnite (man that felt...

Having a hard time making a decision?

    MINDSET
@adnanazmi You asked, along with ChatGPT: The biggest one that is helping me I learned from Tony Robbins. It's a process for making big decisions. I believe he won't mind me sharing it since he often says "Take notes and teach it to others". This process has completely improved my day to day...

Do you tip when picking up takeout food?

    OFF-TOPIC
It IS weird... and "Would you like to leave a tip? 22% 30% or maybe for fun, like @BigRomeDawg says, they could ask you to give a 100% tip... just to serve really cool people who occasionally want to make someone's day. A 22% tip won't do that but a huge one.

    Business CPAs recommendations

    INVESTING
Hi @mycrew143 I am often wondering who are the best CPAs and where to find them too, but for a different reason. I personally would not consult a CPA on whether or not a business opportunity is good. My past experience has taught me that CPAs are GREAT for taxes but I cannot let them make big...

Yeah I agree about delivery - always nice to appreciate that service. Here where I am, people have it delivered or call in an order and just pick it up. Thanks, @smarty I forgot when I asked this that tipping is different in America than other places I've traveled. When you go sit down...

Do you tip when picking up takeout food?

    OFF-TOPIC
Give the love to those service people? Or Save those freedom fighters? Square and other devices are asking for tips now everywhere. I generally don’t tip if all that’s happening is the same kind of transaction in the pre-Square days. And do if I’m getting service. And it’s good. At least I’m...

A Helpful Guide to Using Facebook Audience Insights to Find Market Size

    MARKETING
I'm looking at business ideas and I've been searching for a guide on using various online tools to see if there is a market out there. I am not finding a clear guide yet. I work in online education so I would not limit my audience by location, and I don't see much point in limiting by gender...

ChatGPT AI is a huge breakthrough, a Google killer

    HOT! CHAT
My brain is spinning on "How can I create a profitable business using ChatGPT?" Putting that in a query resulted in an answer which basically said "Do your own research, buddy. That's not what we here for" :) Was so interesting to copy MJD with the personal tweet. As my business has been...

If you could recommend just one MJ DeMarco book...

Thanks MJ! I appreciate the quick response. I was just going through notes of Unscripted in ReadWise and saying "YES!" to each note. No shortcuts - YES! Making value over chasing money - YES! If my brother finds resonance with TGRRE, I plan on rereading and doing a discussion group about it. If...
