Dad tired of working to hard

    INTRO
Man, you're really close. I drive through Denton every day. Glad you're doing well with it. I keep going back and forth on what to do as far as going off on my own. I may make it part of a website strategy going forward. Keep up the good work!

Dad tired of working to hard

    INTRO
Yeah, it's my day job and my skill set has become pretty wide ranging. I work for a wholesaler and wear a lot of hats...product development, global sourcing, selling to buyers, importing and working with freight forwarders, the list goes on... I thought about a number of things in product to...

Dad tired of working to hard

    INTRO
Millionaire Fastlane is one of the best books I ever read. I'm kind of in the same position you are. I'm grinding it right now developing and selling products for a wholesaler. But now I want more passive income so I'm starting to develop websites... Good Luck!

Need an advice - Should I trust this company?

Those buying companies won't really fight for you. You can do it on your own and save all that money.

Maybe you should think about your idea again when your not baked and see if it is still a really good idea :-) If it is than I can give you some pointers...

    Reputable Manufacturers

Hi Walter and everyone - just wanted to chime in my two cents here. Also been importing for over a decade in housewares and consumer goods. But I wouldn't really trust these guys until you go there and see the factories. And even then I still don't really trust them. They all say they're...

How laziness and doubt cost me licensing opportunities.

    EXECUTION
Well they say that failures lead to successes. Looks like you got talent...don't let the next one slip away! Just keep plugging away at these retailers, restaurants etc. They can't be a jack of all trades and manufacture this stuff on their own...that's why they licence this kind of stuff out.

Supplier claims WU doesnt require certain info

A Bank & beneficiary/name does need to be listed for the wire. But either way you should have terms with him so you don't get scammed. If not a Net30 than a TT at sight so he can show that he handed goods over to a freight forwarder or air shipped. Find a new supplier.

    Anyone here used Davison.com?

I just wanted to jump in here with my two cents. First off - read the Stephen Key books because I generally like and agree with his model. Second - I'll speak from my experience here and give a really quick bio. I have been importing products in home decor and tabletop for over a decade...

October 2015 Canton Fair - Who is going?

    MEETUPS
I went in April - not going in October. The show isn't what it used to be. At least in my category (home decor) I used to take a train from Hong Kong to Guangzhou...took about 2-2.5 hours which includes crossing the border. Shenzhen would cut a lot of time off since you're already in China...

One Simple Idea - Stephen Key

I think it depends. Do you want to license or manufacture a product?

Is education worth it for Entrepreneurs?

I would also agree with this. Better to learn on your own and gain experience rather than sitting through a class learning how to right a business plan.

Where do you find Manufacturers and Wholesalers?

I deal with China all the time so I hope I can help save you some time and money and give you some good insights with a good approach for your idea. And I hope I don't sound too discouraging. It sounds like you have an idea in electronics - a highly competitive area with a lot of big players...

    Redesigning The Lighter?

Now what I would do is forget about attaching to a bic lighter...those are sold cheap in multipacks and nobody cares if they lose them. What I would do is maybe design a nicer version of your product to attach to nicer and more expensive lighter that people may really care about. you can sell...

    Opening a can of worms

Sounds like the guy feels threatened and doesn't want competition. I say if you have done your research and feel it is a good model than go for it...unless you think he is in the mob and might bust your knee caps...then stand down :-)

    My Introduction and HELP needed!

Without knowing exactly what your selling...I would say you can just sell whatever your selling through Amazon. In many ways Amazon is ebay without an auction...there are lots of private sellers on there and a friend of a friend is very successful with it and she is just doing everything out of...

Keep in mind though that by law you can't transfer domains until 60 days after you purchase the domain. So I think you would be better off just buying from hostgator.

That is a really good idea...especially since it is so important to understand your industry.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    WEB/DIGITAL
just to throw it out there...one of the things that I did since I am not a tech genius was to buy a site through Flippa that seemed like it might have some potential or similar to a kind of site that I want. Then once you have that site and template you start learning the ins and outs of that...
