Amazing Book. Most of the stuff in it seems like common sense AFTER you have read it. It's like "Why didn't I think of that?". Just like another "MJ" made it look easy on the basketball court, MJ Dimarco makes it as easy as it will ever get to earn HUGE $$$!

Sounds like a decent idea, the customer would not need the app if they ordered from the pump. I think i have seen this done somewhere before, not sure. It's hard to imagine crossing a Sonic with a gas station but.... who knows?

I think this business would be good for the economy of the US. It would create lots of Jobs. Jobs that might help some people get off government assistance. If it benefits the country, it might not be as tough to maneuver through the regulation red tape. Our current president would be a fan...

Also, another business model could morph from this discussion. It's better to try than not to.

I agree, the barrier of entry is huge, but so would be the rewards. I mean, how many gas pumps are there in the US?

With all due respect, This "business model" is in the infantile stages, far from any money being invested. I think it intelligent to give the idea a chance to bloom. This attitude, IMO, is why so few people are able to drive the fastlane. Everything is too hard, so I quit before even spending...

Yes I'm thinking that dividing the pie 3 ways is best. How big of a piece each gets will take some research. I think we are currently assuming that the attendants will be "gig" employees. The vision is for the "pumpers" to be able to use the app to find a place to go work for however long...

No, they would be paid by us, the business, who have already been paid by the customer (driver).

Entrepreneurs do not shy away from problems. We gladly accept the challenge knowing full well that there is an answer somewhere, all we've got to do is find it. People just dont understand the power of an "I will" attitude. There is always many many different ways to solve problems.

I appreciate your feedback sir! Nothing is set in stone and tipping may not even be involved in the process. We need to find a way to streamline the process of using the app in order to make it more convenient perhaps using a membership card where you would pull up to the pump scan your pumper...

I spoke to my first c-store owner. She was happy to take .50c per vehicle fueled by the "pumper". As long as she didn't have to pay anything it was a enthusiastic yes.

OK, here are the potential roadblocks I'm currently dealing with. 1. How/When does the customer place their "order" on the app? - doing so while driving is not an option. - doing so while sitting at the pump is too slow. 2. How to prevent the station owners and/or gas companies from...

You know... this is looking like its gonna be very challenging. I think I'll give it up now before I waste my time pursuing this cockamamie idea... That's about as far as most "wantreprenuers" get before moving on to the next idea, opportunity etc. Instead of finding solutions to each...

Ok so I think I have solved the problem of how the store would profit. There would be 2 options in the app when you place your "order". Option A: Quick gas and go. Option B: Full Service clean windows, air up tires, check fluids etc. Since this will take a few minutes, the driver will be...
