I sold lollipops in Grade 4, what did you sell?

    HOT! SIDE HUSTLE
I sold skittles in middle school. Not the best profit margin, but I did make some money.

    My invention journey

    EXECUTION
Depending on your niche, influencer marketing, paid search, and/or paid social could be good options for you. Those obviously cost money on an ongoing basis though.

Finally launched my online store selling mushroom products

    EXECUTION
@pumpkinman if you need any help setting up your Google Analytics let me know, that's my specialty. (For free of course) Its important to get it set up quickly so you can monitor improvement and get insights to help make decisions on what to improve. Congrats on actually executing, I had the...

    Valuable skills ?

    INTRO
True, and it also depends on what your product/service is. More expensive services and products are going to rely more heavily on sales teams than mass market products and plug and play services.

I found an idea I want to pursue but need feedback

    IDEA
The biggest problem I see with this is the difficulty in proving the value to users without a working product. Is your landing page going to be functional in any way (in terms of doing part of whatever your app would do)? I know you said "MVP landing page" , but does that mean you will have some...

What I learned first few days of bringing an idea to life --> You better have tough skin.

    IDEA
Yup, and for me specifically, I need to get out of the mindset of needing every single aspect of the business planned out before I take the first step. I act like I can predict how things will play out, but there's no way I can accurately predict every possible outcome.

What I learned first few days of bringing an idea to life --> You better have tough skin.

    IDEA
You sound like me. I , no joke, have at LEAST 75 ideas written down on my phone. The trick is making one come to life.

    Inventing and manufacturing advice needed

Ok so if I were to attempt to license it, what do you think the risk of it being stolen is? I remember from "One Simple Idea" that it happens a lot less than you would expect, but I'm still a bit worried because I'm not planning on patenting and it would be pretty easy to steal. My competitive...

    Inventing and manufacturing advice needed

Ok so this thread is mostly aimed at @Rearden , but anyone is welcome to comment. I have an idea that I won't go into the specifics about (I'm not planning on patenting) but I can say that its a consumer good (an accessory) related to the automotive industry . It's fairly simple, but it does...

Who has invented a product and brought it to market?

    EXECUTION
Hey @Rearden I'm planning on inventing and bringing a product to market. Could I ask you some questions? If so should I do it in this thread, PM you, or start a new thread?

E-Commerce Brand Kick-Started By The Pandemic

    HOT! EXECUTION
This thread is amazing. I've learned so much just from reading about your experiences as you're learning. This is adding to my confidence to move forward with my product idea. My idea seems to be a bit more customized than yours, so I'll probably have more pre-launch work, but I still think...

    Using Memes in Marketing?

    MARKETING
Yeah In my opinion this is pretty much the pinnacle of marketing. If you can get people talking about your product on their own and with a positive connotation, you've done your job well.

    Using Memes in Marketing?

    MARKETING
Thanks for the encouragement, I'll keep that offer in mind! I've got a long way to go before any kind of recurring revenue though. Lots of work ahead.

    Using Memes in Marketing?

    MARKETING
Well, looks like I'm off to learn what kind of coding language I need to learn to make this happen. If a coder sees this and is interested in potentially partnering on this send me a DM for more info.

    Using Memes in Marketing?

    MARKETING
Well actually my idea isn't to personally market meme products, but its closer to a platform that people could advertise on, so that's where the coding comes in.

    Using Memes in Marketing?

    MARKETING
Exactly, thats good to hear from someone else. My idea would be perfect for utilizing this concept, the difficulty now is just going to be whether or not I have the skills and willpower to execute it. Especially considering the extent of my coding knowledge is a little html and some lua.
