What attribute has made the greatest impact on your life/would you instill in your children?

    MINDSET
I think Growth Mindset as described by Carol Dweck. Perhaps fundamental to both persistence and experimentation as you would do neither if you had a static mindset?

    Chronic Back Pain

    HEALTH
Don't think anyone mentioned it yet in this thread. And it needs to be mentioned in a thread about back pain (or any chronic pain). If you are desperate enough, have a look over at Healing Back Pain by Dr John Sarno. I was extremely suspicious when I first encountered his work about TMS (Tension...

    Moving the Needle on Probability

    NOTABLE!
Great post! So I was the one that brought Nassim Taleb into that thread. And that did not end well. But I do not agree that all is luck. What is so great with MJ's books is just what you wrote. By the TUNEF framework we can move probability! That is so inspiring. That is why I participate in...

Quit now, get a job, and why bother. Everything is luck.

    MINDSET RANT
Wow, Good answer and explanation! I just throw it out there since I saw some of Talebs thinking written in this thread. By the way. Taleb also want to create a special day to honor entrepreneurship and failed entrepreneurs. He thinks they (we, I) are heroes. Like fallen soldiers.

Or perhaps Nassim Taleb. Who I think argues that luck (black swans) has a far bigger impact on our life than we want to acknowledge.

Interactive Website Fastlane Business - Question!

    EXECUTION
It seems you want to build a SaaS (Software as a Service) basically? Basecamp is my go-to example of a SaaS. If that's the case. Just learn a Web Development Framework like Django. Which by the way is not necessarily the same as learning to program. You will learn some programming of course...

Interactive Website Fastlane Business - Question!

    EXECUTION
That largely depends on coding practices and if a good framework is used. But yeah, it's possible to mix PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript into one big source file. And that will indeed be a nightmare to maintain.

Should be something with the Barbell strategy a`la Taleb. Translates outside investments into being Antifragile.

That a "No" is not really a "No" but a signal that there are more information to be uncovered. Often by listening and repeating what the other part in the negotiation says.

Another hit this year for me (besides Can't Hurt Me) was Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss. For another month maybe?
