Anyone learning something useful in quarantine?

    HOT!
My 3 year old is learning to ride his trike. His legs are now long enough to reach the pedals, so he's working on steering and pedaling at the same time. It's actually a good time to learn as there's a lot less people out and about.

How best to take advantage of the economy now?

If you're wanting to go down the virtual assistant route it might be a good idea to go through your experience and focus on offering a service taylored to those businesses. I guess there things specific to estate agents that you could offer (putting listings together? Dealing with the land...

I spot an opportunity to help people... Back when I lived in Japan I always thought that facemasks printed with different designs (manga characters, Disney, hello kitty) or ones you could draw a design on yourself would be a good business idea. (Anyone want it feel free to run with it).

Went for a socially distanced walk across some footpaths out the back of our town. Little one fell over into the mud and needed carrying. So I got a mud Mohawk.

I wonder if this is the UK governments end game plan, as they've started talking about "cocooning" high risk individuals.

My community is getting organized. Apparently 8,000 of these are being delivered as we speak (or type). The reverse features contact details and a list of jobs that you can ask people to do. We've not be able to take part in printing them or getting them through letter boxes, our job is self...

I would love to get tested, for exactly the reason you gave, but here in the UK I don't think its possible unless you're a hospital admission. Last I heard from the NHS staff I know was that even they aren't being tested for it, which is crazy. But the situation is changing all the time and...

It could well be flu, maybe I should have written possibly instead of probably. It would be good to know either way, but the testing in the UK is only for hospital admissions right now. If / when they get this test for checking if you've had it sorted out then we'll know.

Just thought I'd write about what it's been like self-isolating with 2 children. We're in the UK and have been in isolation since last Friday, so less than a week left to go :) Our eldest son, who's 11, has probably had corona virus. He's had all the symptoms: high temperature, cough, head...

Wrongful Accusation for a business: What Would You Do?

Thinking personally, I only review things if they are really good or really bad, so go with the "get 15 5*s". Also, I've heard that in some types of business (mom and pop restaurants and b&bs) there are people who will just try it on, and threaten to leave a bad review on Tripadvisor etc if...

Mental Toughness & Staying in Higher Frame of Mind During the Corona-Virus Outbreak

I'm sorry, I don't know about specific tequniques or methods, but I do know what works for me: 1. Thinking about what EXACTLY it is that I'm worried about and why. 2. Thinking about all the ways I can solve it and the different resources I have available to do so. (People, money, stuff, these...

Our local army cadets are offering to help people that are self- isolating by running errands. I've given my contact no. to a couple of people who live on their own locally, one of whom is elderly and doesn't do Facebook or that kind of thing ,and the other doesn't get many visitors.

Maybe this isn't what you were thinking, but it's had an impact on my life: I've switched to working from home a lot more due to the virus. I'm not spending 2 hours a day travelling and my productivity has also gone up due to less interruptions. With the extra time I'm able to take a nice...
