Why are people so lazy nowadays? Is it a generation thing?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
I saw this in university years ago. We had one exercise where you were supposed to build an argument that made talking points for the position *opposite* of what you actually thought. Most of the class couldn't do it. "But I don't agree with that." They weren't able to conform a constructive...

But also think you are seeing what happens when there is a growing disillusionment with the idea of the American Dream/Slowlane but you don't put anything constructive in its place. Imagine reading a book like the Fastlane but it's just the first half telling you that the sidewalk and slowlane...

Martial Arts, Combat Sports, Self-Defense Systems - What Do You Practice?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
For sure. I'd venture your average person with little to no training would last less than 30 seconds. Even if someone is conditioned for something else most of them I doubt last more than a minute or two. I tell people all of the time who say they're gonna "get in shape first" to stop wasting...

Martial Arts, Combat Sports, Self-Defense Systems - What Do You Practice?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
I did Kali for a little while a long time ago. I loved it. Great for hand/eye coordination. And you don't "need" kali stick to implement it as the training would basically transfer to just about any kind of stick-like object you'd use in self defense.

Martial Arts, Combat Sports, Self-Defense Systems - What Do You Practice?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
Recommend MMA 100% Aside from giving some of the best mixture of striking and grappling the conditioning you get from doing it consistently is phenomenal. And when you're fighting, it doesn't matter if you know every single technique ever taught. If you're gassed you can't do shit.

Has anyone else come to terms with the fact that they really hate sitting in front of a computer and how it's going to affect your business/Fastlane?

    QUESTION
Your second line is in line with what I was basically asking. I feel as though when one does a lot of looking around the blogosphere, a heavy chunk of recommendations suggest that this is *the* way to go. I guess I should have framed he original post a bit better to where it doesn't sound...

Has anyone else come to terms with the fact that they really hate sitting in front of a computer and how it's going to affect your business/Fastlane?

    QUESTION
If the tone of the original post was to sound like it was whinging and purely making excuses that was not the intent. More of what I was aiming at is that I see a lot of posts (in the sphere of business development) aim towards online, computer heavy type industries. As I feel this is kind of...

Has anyone else come to terms with the fact that they really hate sitting in front of a computer and how it's going to affect your business/Fastlane?

    QUESTION
This is kind of where I'm at in that I need to find the need that invents the business that's close to what I "want" to do. Not in the sense of making a hobby a career but something that at the very least leans on my strengths without regularly forcing me to do something I hate.

Has anyone else come to terms with the fact that they really hate sitting in front of a computer and how it's going to affect your business/Fastlane?

    QUESTION
I know, I know.... It's not about "doing what you love." I get it. I've read both MF and Unscripted and 100% get the message and concepts. But what I've discovered is that it's certainly a bit easier to spur yourself into action when the actions line up with your true values. I'm not saying...

The Antiwork Movement, Lazy or Enlightened?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
IMO, the anti-work movement is the victim of other movements like it. It has some sound ideas, but being leaderless and directionless the movement get hijacked by people crying for full out communism or anarchism. The source of the sentiment is the same as that of the people who are here...
