Looking to buy first multi-family home

    REAL ESTATE
I recently purchased a commercial prop, and let me tell you, it's a pain in the butt. If you can, stick with 4 family and under as your first purchase. I did find a ready built investment analysis spreadsheet on ebay that was really helpful. You can create it yourself too, but i just bought...

S for Scale, gotta impact millions to make $M's

    EXECUTION
Brief update: Website is live: Chose Wordpress as my platform and purchased a theme that I really liked. Did most of the coding and updates myself - fairly easy with all the tools out there. Spent a good amount of time last week working on SEO. Also included WooCommerce for customers to purchase...

S for Scale, gotta impact millions to make $M's

    EXECUTION
That's a great thought, it's phase 2 of my project. Once I get enough traffic and exposure to the site, I will outsource the preparation of the taxes or just sell the leads directly. For now, the plan is to use myself and my staff to crank through all returns that come through the site.

S for Scale, gotta impact millions to make $M's

    EXECUTION
Absolutely correct here, I have my CPA office where I can focus on impact with magnitude and servicing larger clients with businesses. I have found though that the simpler tax returns actually have a better return for your investment, less headaches in the long run.

S for Scale, gotta impact millions to make $M's

    EXECUTION
The Commandment of Scale "If you want to climb the heights to financial freedom you need a business that SCALES into the sky … in other words, it will need to reach new heights to reach the masses. If you can reach a million people, you will be a millionaire." pulled straight from MJ's book...

Is a CPA good enough for setting up an LLC?

I am a CPA in NJ and do LLC registrations as well. Most of my clients come to me for tax advice and the differences/benefits between types of entities. Depending on the type of business activity, I either do it myself or consult with an attorney that I use who's experienced and knows the NJ law...

The business structure you select can pinch you at Tax Time!

    EXECUTION TAXES | REGS
This past year, I found myself spending a lot of time explaining to my clients the different business structures available to small business owners. It is a confidence booster to know that my clients trust me with their business, but I was discussing the same details over and over again. I put...

What's your job ? What do you do?

    HOT!
I'm 27 and a CPA by profession, went the big Four route, then the internal audit route, then I thought I was going Fastlane by starting my own tax prep business - although business is great, I recently realized that I just created a glorified job for myself. Started actually reading 2 years...

Success + exotic car = Sued?

    HOT! MINDSET
I agree with MJ, this is why Insurance exists, granted I would be pissed if somebody did that on purpose. Enjoy what you've got, and take life one step at a time. Can't worry about something, unless it happens, you'll drive yourself crazy.

I read the book a few months ago, read it again recently. In the process now of detaching from the corporate TIT and focusing on my business full time. MJ's book opened my eyes to many new things. I printed MJ's post on "My advice to aspiring business owners is: Make 1,000,000 achieve any of...
