I rode for a few years in my twenties….most fun I ever had. No regrets but won’t get back to riding for the reasons shared in this thread. Canadian winters certainly don’t help.

Would you pay the 4k for this flashy guru?

    GURUS
100%. You’ll find far more value this way, but you have to be prepared to follow your curiosity and put yourself in the driver’s seat. I’f you’re expecting a handout go ahead and lay the 4K but chances are you’ll get little to no value. Edit: have you read any of MJ’s books?

I second this, jumping rope has made cardio enjoyable again. @MJ DeMarco - do you listen to music, podcasts, or anything else while you're at it? I've found it beneficial to "stack" exercise with listening to podcasts from time to time. Other days, I may just stream a TV show.

The Biggest Issue with Coffee Is...

    HOT! IDEA FEEDBACK
Good to hear you found an approach that works for you. I've recently gone to caffeinated coffee on weekends only, and decaf on weekday mornings. I am prone to low-level anxiety too, though I cannot say I've noticed a stark correlation, I do think the approach I've selected is a healthier balance.

Thanks for sharing your experience. This resonated with me. Often times high performers have to deal with immense internal, self imposed pressure. The art of detaching the present moment from the intended result and the future is a difficult skill to master. A few books have helped me focus on...

This is so on point. Comfort and routine are tough to look past, until you hit the point of existential crisis where you wake up asking yourself: is this really all there is to it? Surely this can't be it.. Appreciate the reply, MJ.
