    >As a first-time entrepreneur, what advice would you give someone who is still searching for a need-driven opportunity and wants to start building without risking significant capital upfront? Any business is but a service. if you have a product, that's just a service delivered via a product...

MTF's Rebirth: Building a New Fastlane Vehicle

    >Acquisition must be delegable, too. I can't be the one personally finding and contacting prospects. If I were you, when you define your ICP, set up a GTM engine. What that means is that finding leads is on autopilot using AI. Scraping ads library? you can do that. doing online research? you...

Retrospective on 4 years in a pursuit of entrepreneurship. 13 lessons and a life story from a self-taught software engineer and a window cleaner.

    STORY
I guess the question is how to make it in software and not window cleaning. That's the goal. Maybe you could say that I'm not disciplined, but I deliberately shied away from scaling window cleaning - even thought I have hired an employee last year. I stopped giving out the review cards which I...

It's not just free, it's paid. In EU, it's a job. That you need to win. The pay is 2000 EUR/mo for 4 years + a credential . yes, actually, I'm getting 30-40EUR/hr doing windows (who could have thought). The problem is that I'm trying to exit it and move into a software job which long-run should...

What is a good way to validate a SaaS before building it?

    MARKETING SAAS / APPS
that said - talk with your users. that's the best way to learn if you are solving a problem. Also, a great shorthand is: are they already paying for the problem? If they are, there is likely a market. Remember that software is only ever a shortcut for human labor; that especially goes for AI...

What is a good way to validate a SaaS before building it?

    MARKETING SAAS / APPS
I had the same problem and I was advised "the right it" years ago. also, I would add "click!" (both written by very solid software founders by the way). The latter is arguably more comprehensive and also shorter.

Hello, Some of you may remember me, some not, I've been out of TFLF for a year now. I've learned much more from execution and working 100-120 hours a week for all the 4 years than from any thread from this forum, and I had to learn on my own mistakes and advise from the few around me. I wish...

MTF's Rebirth: Building a New Fastlane Vehicle

    EXECUTION
@MTF suggestion - I'm a LLM software engineer by profession, and I recommend against using Anthropic or OpenAI models for copywriting. Anthropic injects watermarked text which makes the text noticeably use very unusual words; that's by design to make the LLM text detectable...

Dark Water, funnily enough I'm cofounding something similar right now for a particular niche, a page builder using Astro and Cloudflare deployment. 3 weeks into technical development (wanted to do the software part properly as I didn't want a sloppy codebase); there are also some bells and...

Continuous suffering: How the development stage can feel like

    EXECUTION RANT
I was in your position about two years ago... My product was a kitchen robotics product which I have dropped after 12 mo. My questions to you are: - How do you know that what you have done will solve somebody's problem? have you built it yet? - what takes you 12 mo to validate something? and if...

$73 Budget, One Prototype, One Shot: Building an Asymmetric Cop-Chase Game — Looking for Execution Feedback

    - AI -
if you want to get income from software, better join a company and later build something yourself. seriously. You'll get stuck in not being to deliver something good for months, quit, and will look back at these months with "why did I do this to myself?" or just laugh it off as a "the first...
