I lived in Montevideo and would strongly suggest, that you change your accountant. Since 2011 most income from outside the country is taxed. Check at Paradise Uruguay Blog: Uruguay Income Tax Law and Uruguay Banking Secrecy Law Updates The "good times" are over.- bernhard
