Best laptop for work under $500?

    OFF-TOPIC
This is the usual Apple speak. Its ok, we have different thoughts and usually these conversations go nowhere. Saying opinions as facts doesnt make them true. I get the allure of Apple phones. Many people like the ultra simplistic and locked down nature of it. I guess some of that...

Best laptop for work under $500?

    OFF-TOPIC
Unless you just love Apple in general, theres no reason to buy a Macbook or any other Apple product. The insides arent nearly worth the price tag.

That site just doesnt have great builds for the money IMO. For instance, for about that same money as the great tier you can build this... PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/dVbQvK CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230 V3 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($240.99 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: ASRock...

Dont build going by that site. No 600+ build should be using a i3. Do you need a GPU for gaming?

Concealed Carry - What do you carry?

    OFF-TOPIC
The only gun I have is a 9mm Highpoint. Got it a long time ago when I just wanted a cheap gun to have in the house for protection. For as dirt cheap as it is, its never given me a problem. Shoots accurately. But you dont want to conceal carry it. Too heavy. Ive been thinking about...

HOW DO I SERIOUSLY GIVE UP GAMING

    GOLD! MINDSET
I guess if you have a legit problem, then you gotta give it up. But if its just a hobby you love, then giving it up seems silly to me. Whats life without doing things you enjoy? You just have to cut it back to maybe a hour a day. That can be your break.

So you want to move to Scottsdale?

    MEETUPS
There a lot more to AZ then Phoenix area. You can live there and travel to Flagstaff in the winter if you miss snow. Or live somewhere like Prescott if you want closer to 4 seasons without being as cold as the east coast.

So you want to move to Scottsdale?

    MEETUPS
Shame that AZ is judged on just the Phoenix area. Theres way more to it then desert. FL is jam packed. Even somewhere like Miami beach is mostly a ghetto. Think the Tampa/Clearwater area is nice. some of my issues are that you might as well live in the Amazon rain forest. The amount...

Preserving Wealth, My #1 Tip. Don't Get Married! (Or Maybe You Should?)

    NOTABLE!
Stop getting married because you think "its what people do". No. Screw that. Thats IMO a huge reason why so many marriages fail. Pressure to get married in the first place. Being married is not "work". Not in the way some make it out to be. If you feel it is, you probably have a shitty...

Do you really need to read 52 books this year? And other media consumption.

    MINDSET RANT
I go for 2 books a month. Cant imagine doing 4. Id probably off myself. But different people enjoy different things. Ive kinda learned to read quicker now too. I used to feel shame if I didnt read every word of a book. But you eventually find that most books are generally either...

Announcing: Google Domains (Should GoDaddy Be Worried?)

    OFF-TOPIC
Interesting. Godaddy always has a coupon. Its almost always the cheapest place to get a name quick. I just cant stand their checkout and dashboard so really dont use them anymore. NameCheap is what ive been using since Whois Privacy is free for a year, $3 each year after. Just noticed...

Cold Calling my Way to Arizona

    EXECUTION
The Clearwater/Tampa area of FL is really nice. Truly. However, it rains pretty much daily. And you may as well live in the Amazon rain forest when it comes to bugs. And its humid as hell. Ive haven't visited AZ yet but that looks to be my preferred destination. I read its much less...

GoDaddy will be the cheapest. Theres always a coupon. If you want Whois protection then price might even out some since NameCheap includes that free for the first year. I think I prefer NameCheap mostly anymore. If im scooping up something I may or may not use then I go with GoDaddy on...
