Marketing & Selling on Reddit? (Without Pissing People Off)

    MARKETING
Not sure if this was news that everyone heard about or if it's just me because of my industry, so I figured I'd share anyway. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/google-reddit-60-million-deal-ai-training/ Not only has Reddit made this AI deal with Google, but Reddit has been rewarded with very high...

    Travelling/Backpacking before pursuing Unscripted journey?

    MINDSET SLOWLANE
Yes, I just wanted to travel and work digitally so that's what I need. I already had an online business going but it was small.

    HOT! EXECUTION
Thank you! Yes, you learn so much about the food and health industry once you get sick. It's life-changing. I think this experience will enhance my life overall with what I've learned, after I heal. I've never bought a business (except one that I bought back a year after selling), but have sold...

    Travelling/Backpacking before pursuing Unscripted journey?

    MINDSET SLOWLANE
That's what I did for two summers in 2021 and 2022. I had some of my best ideas and breakthroughs by doing it this way. I just stayed in the USA but was living out of my tiny car and hostels, often in remote areas.

Marketing & Selling on Reddit? (Without Pissing People Off)

    MARKETING
Quick update: My subreddit is roughly 3 weeks old now and has 628 members. The engagement is very good. So far I've: Delivered 2 project estimates: $249/month and $795 for a one-time project Sold a one-time project for $85 Not bad. Although the upfront conversations I had to invest in to...

What does that look like in practice? Can you give an example?

Marketing & Selling on Reddit? (Without Pissing People Off)

    MARKETING
From what I've read, it's still a bit unclear. It seems that some people have had their subreddits closed or banned even in situations where it seems like it would be fine. It says, "You may not perform moderation actions in return for any form of compensation." The act of owning and running a...

At what point should you park (invest) your fastlane earnings?

    INVESTING
I'm in a very similar position as you. I'm 24 and have roughly $110k USD saved up. $90k in a high yield savings account at 5%. $10k in stocks/ETFs. My business needs to grow more to cover my monthly expenses, but I am also dealing with a chronic illness right now and I can't work much. For...

Marketing & Selling on Reddit? (Without Pissing People Off)

    MARKETING
Update: Started reading some stuff about monetizing subreddits which leaves me pretty confused. Reddit's user agreement states: "You may not perform moderation actions in return for any form of compensation, consideration, gift, or favor from third parties;" It seems like a confusing gray area...

Marketing & Selling on Reddit? (Without Pissing People Off)

    MARKETING
When you say "only once it's a logical response," I'm assuming you mean only include the link when someone in the comments specifically asks for something highly relevant to the link? Such as "where can I learn to do this?"

Marketing & Selling on Reddit? (Without Pissing People Off)

    MARKETING
That's true. I just don't like to "censor" people who make negative comments (unless it's something that obviously needs to be removed). Openness and being casual is the approach that I'm leaning towards for sure. You definitely can't get away with "salesy" language on Reddit. I would like to...

Marketing & Selling on Reddit? (Without Pissing People Off)

    MARKETING
Hey guys, Two weeks ago I started a subreddit that attracts my target audience. I've grown it to 540 members and it continues to grow each day. Reddit seems like a very powerful tool for marketing since you can build very tight, dedicated communities around your niche. The problem is that...

Two business ideas. I don't know what to do in this situation.

    IDEA QUESTION
Yeah, so what? I also think of business ideas that can provide good value all the time, which I ignore because I'm focused on what I'm already doing. Pick one and stick with it.

Was just writing a check to mail to my accountant and remembering how I used to struggle so much to write a check because of my health issues. I'd go through several checks and envelopes because I would make countless mistakes trying to write the amount, date, etc. It would take me probably 15...
