I blew off the Tampa Bay Fastlane meetup for this...

It was more of him coming out and saying that he wanted in on it and he thought that we could help each other out.

I blew off the Tampa Bay Fastlane meetup for this...

Thank you for your input. He was the one that wanted to talk numbers - another reason I was so shocked when he tore me a new one. I may contact him in the near future and see if I can open talks again. As you said though I am expecting it to be not - salvageable.

I blew off the Tampa Bay Fastlane meetup for this...

I was pumped for the Tampa Bay Fastlane meet up this weekend. So much so I could barely sleep the night before. Late Saturday afternoon I received a phone call from someone who I thought was unreachable. The man on the other side of the line was someone who I have been hounding to get a meeting...

I will have to catch the next one. I have a last minute meeting with a potential investor. I will post in detail how it goes so that I can contribute to this meet up even though I won't there. Thank you all.

Technically you are right but the mind has a neat little trick where it can travel through time. :)

    Appreciate the now (37 seconds)

    MINDSET
Andy, What you are saying really hit home with me. I used to always look to a future me. A future me that had everything that I had ever hoped and dreamed for. I became trapped by it - focusing on it when I should have been focusing on the current me who was in a state of disarray. I learned to...

What book are you reading? Right now. Post up!

    NOTABLE! HOT! BOOKS CHAT
I noticed this for sure. What I do is use MJ's book as the basis for everything and think of all of the other books I read as supplementation to TMF. Doing this really brought home the gold nuggets found in other books while reinforcing the fastlane mindset. Most books have a lot of fluff in...

    My Crazy Idea ...

    IDEA
If you want people to sign up for something they need to know what it is that they are signing up for. I absolutley think there needs to be more of a description as to what they are joining. Do this in a streamlined and simple way. There is no need for a novel like description. Also would it be...

    My Crazy Idea ...

    IDEA
I think you would get a lot more signups if your website was setup a little differently. For instance when I clicked the link I am hit in the face with giant text and a red banner with a generic question. I was kind of thrown off as to what it is you were trying to get people to sign up for. If...

    My name is Barrett

I think you should scale up the time focused on it and scale back the time focused on other things. What do you want out of this? What are your goals? Why are you trying to start this company in the first place? What is there to gain? What is there to lose? It seems like you are trying to find...

Make sure you don't have the same excuses next year. Excuses fuel fear and failure. Next year will come and you will see that not much has changed. Before your eyes 5 years will have gone by while you are waiting for the perfect time to start. Trust me it leads down a road of never getting...

    You're worth nothing!

    MINDSET
If you want to focus on the slowlane than getting a job is more a question about what real world experience you have now than it is the grades you have gotten at school. Why focus on getting excellent grades and spending all of the time and money in these classes if you know that you don't...

    You're worth nothing!

    MINDSET
Please do not take this the wrong way but why in the hell are you so focused on what other people say? I sometimes feel that people label themselves based on quotes or statistics - I know I did. I would base everything on it. I don't quite fit this so I can't be successful. I don't understand...

Is electrical engineering a good major for entrepreneurship?

    EXECUTION
The most useful thing I learned in EE was how to manage large teams with highly specific skill sets. I became an expert at placing individuals to certain tasks so that they could be completed in the best way possible. My team became my tool box. I learned to leverage the skills and expertise of...
