What business would you start if you had a ranch?
HOT! SIDE HUSTLESolar farms are very lucrative, as there is a kilo watt per square foot equation that is always profitable. Big up front investment though... I can just imagine it now; "Can y'all refrain from blowing something up this weekend? We got a wedding on, and those city folks don't really take to...- Roli

A Mass of Mass Shootings... Guns? Or Mental Illness?
OFF-TOPIC....hmm, or allowing people with mental illness access to guns. IMO, it's just not civilised to allow people to walk around cities with guns.- Roli

I had to do a double-take, because you post pretty much the exact story of someone else on here, and someone before them as well... Keep the enthusiasm, ditch the MLM lamo.- Roli

How to deal with unpaid invoices?
NOTABLE! PEOPLEI used to use a trick that never failed. On all invoices put a 7 day payment rule in your invoice terms & conditions. Then add a standard "you have to pay me 1.2% a month if you don't pay on time" Then when they pay late, email their accounts department and (politely) ask if you should make...- Roli

Ferrari Takes Issue with Instagram Douchebaggery
MARKETING SOCIAL MEDIAPretty sure there will be just as many douchebags posing with Lambos, it's just Lambo don't have an issue with it... yet. Cristal made an extremely racist statement in order to stop that association. I believe it hurt them bad, just like Troop and Tommy Hilfiger before them.- Roli

This childhood personality trait influences how much money you'll make as an adult
HOT! MINDSETI mentioned Spud Webb (showing my age), he was 5'8" and was an NBA star. There is also some guy called Mugsy Bogues I think. He's also under 5'9". So it can be done, as you allude to, being short on a court full of giants can actually be an advantage. However being tall will automatically start...- Roli

This childhood personality trait influences how much money you'll make as an adult
HOT! MINDSETLolz, calm down @ChrisV, get that BP down to normal :) I think the reason you get so much push back on these posts, is because people here are so mired in the no excuses, it's all down to me culture, that they see anything like this as an attack on it. Unfortunately they confuse somebody who...- Roli

Let's Talk About Entrepreneurial Depression
GOLD! MINDSETWell done for broaching this subject, too often in our community there is a just get on with it attitude when it comes to matters of depression and/or anxiety. I have personally found meditation very helpful, and also some of the tactics in Deep Work really helped me switch off and relax. I now...- Roli

Living Unscripted - Handling millions harder than making them?
HOT! INVESTINGI think I get you. You're saying; "I don't want to create another time consuming job around myself, is there a way I can just set and forget my investments?" If this is what you're saying, my advice would be to buy a bunch of gold, some diamonds, bitcoin and real estate in the kind of areas...- Roli

Elizabeth Warren: Break up Big Tech
HOT!My 2 cents. Monopolies are fine if they have been dictated by the market, as @ChrisV so beautifully puts above :) However when it gets to the point whereby the monopoly is crushing the free market and competition, then that's about as uncapitalistic (not a real word, don't care) as you can...- Roli

Never Split The Difference, by Chris Voss
HOT!Me neither, I can sort of see how it would be done. All posters would be added to some kind of dynamic array, with the look up being activated by the button. Then some JS jiggery pokery to get it to display. Shame, if I did, I'd happily do it for free, you and this forum have done a lot for me...- Roli

Building A Team One Marshmallow At A Time
I've just watched this amazing Ted talk that you may be aware of. It talks about using spaghetti and marshmallows as a team building tool, and how little kindergarten kids are better at gelling as a team than business grad students. The video is only 5 minutes long and I've copied the...- Roli

Never Split The Difference, by Chris Voss
HOT!The link doesn't work for me... Also @MJ DeMarco, this post by Lighthouse made me think of a great feature for the forum, which I don't think would be too hard to code in.
