Is it just me or is service at restaurants terrible now?
OFF-TOPICIt's a combination of bad luck, location and confirmation bias.... Although has there been any change in the tax laws for serving staff where you live? Maybe they've just had their tips taxed, thus the good ones have left and the ones who remain are on too low wages to care.- Roli

Trying to get my website to NOT feel like a scam - help?
It still doesn't read well, you need a pro copywriter. Picture optimisation is one way. Hire a developer to sort it out. Yup, the site is one giant hot mess. Do what I did, and google "business loans" then look at the sites that pop up. They all have a certain feel to them, and they all ask...- Roli

My new website has been hacked twice!
Oh man, I feel for you. Why do people do this? I've had this done to me as well and it just sucks, recently somebody in China stole my domain name which I'd forgotten to re-register. It is my personal name and I use it for email and now I can't because a random Chinese person who won't talk to...- Roli

Older brother just tried to recruit me into a pyramid scheme LOL
OFF-TOPICLove learning new Yiddish words! Thanks #CoffeSpittingMoment  As long as the desire to get rich quick is there, we will have MLM. Weird, either it didn't work out for him or he's addicted to the concept of "easy" money.- Roli

Hungry vs desperate
MINDSETObviously a lot depends on your situation, however I'll try and be as generic as possible. So in no particular order: 1. Don't be readily available - If somebody says; "..can we meet on Monday at 8 a.m.?" and you have the entire week free. Tell them no, instead give them three or four times...- Roli

One of my youtube videos is currently going viral, the "scale" effect is powerful indeed.
NOTABLE!True, however once they get too close, Youtube changes it (they are owned by Google after all! ) Which is why @luniac's video went viral after so long, a little tweak in the algo and bang whole new audience, front page etc.- Roli

Should we combat climate change?
OFF-TOPICThere was once a little boy on a small island in the middle of the ocean. He lived there with his family who belonged to one of the tribes on the island. One day he came to his grandfather and said: "Grandfather, I was at the market today and I overheard somebody saying that there is an...- Roli

One of my youtube videos is currently going viral, the "scale" effect is powerful indeed.
NOTABLE!I wanted to post a video from an English guy talking about his earnings. He basically advised to use Amazon affiliate links, merch, and Patreon links to boost revenue as well. Sorry couldn't find him, this guy below is annoying as F*ck, but he does explain his ad revenue. Spoiler alert it's...- Roli

Can't Hurt Me: by David Goggins, Review and Discussion
HOT!Thi This reminds me of my friend. I have been trying to tell him to slow down, he works 7 days a week 15-18 hours per day. He's read Deep Work and was at first enthused with the idea that less would lead to more. Now though, when I mention the book he just says; "I don't need to do deep work...- Roli

Needs to be said... sell the DAMN motorcycle.
HOT! RANTSo true what @v1vr says. The fact is I rode bikes (still do now and again) on and off for 20 years. In that time I had two proper crashes (not counting bike drops, minor scrapes). Neither was my fault, however the injuries from the first one could have all been avoided had I been wearing even...- Roli

HOT! RANTMan that's one thing I never did because I never had the right gear on. Will do a track day one of these days, it's better when there's no traffic coming the other way. Ditto Ditto... Though I still miss the CBR600, probably even more than the GSX...- Roli

What market forces are at play in the natural gas industry?
INVESTINGClimate change denial. The oil & gas industry in America spend $1,000,000,000 per year lobbying the government to help people believe that climate change is a scam, the more people that believe it, the more gas they'll sell. Seeing as the President himself seems to believe, or at least pays lip...- Roli
